Historia
Thor—Son of Odin, God of Thunder, wielder of the hammer Mjolnir—is dead. And Loki is responsible. It was only meant to be a joke—tampering with the Destroyer, changing Thor’s course to Midgard—a bit of mischief with a chance of maiming. But Loki's harmless prank spiraled out of control, unleashing death and destruction on New York City and the heroes sworn to protect it. The city was saved, but at the cost of Thor’s life.

Above and Beyond
Revisado: 10-11-24
This went well beyond what would be necessary for a Loki story. The writer took special care of all characters, and was very considerate of the motives and general plot lines throughout. I loved the weaving and changing of several different stories we already know, transforming it into something that makes me wish there was a second in the series just for this Loki and Friga.

Fast-paced action
Revisado: 08-29-24
This is a popcorn flick of a novel. Moves fast, but also includes fascinating historical nuggets, some factual and others wistful... It is enough to plant you in the time period and allow your own imagination to fill in the rest. Great narration as well!

Historia
When Runnel leaves his mountain valley to head for the great city of the water mages, he has no idea of his own magical talents. But he soon finds that without meaning to, he complicates and then endangers the lives of everyone he comes to know and care about. For when it comes to magic, there are rules and laws, and the untrained mage-to-be must be careful not to tap into deep forces and ancient enmities. Otherwise, other people might end up paying the price for his mistakes.

Historia
When fifteen-year-old Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. Overnight his simple life is shattered, and, gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save—or destroy—the Empire.

Sapphira? Yoda? Kermit?
Revisado: 01-12-23
I love this story. But I had always imagined her voice as majestic, otherworldly, ancient. The voice the narrator gives is definitely otherworldly, but not in the way I think most would anticipate... And so it changes the feeling of the novel for me, to hear her wise dialogue in such a rough voice. I would still recommend though, as all other voices are well done, and the plot itself flows very well.
