I very much enjoyed the story. The narration could have been a little better, but the story itself was well worth the time it took to listen to. If you're looking for a quick spooky story, look no further.

What did you love best about Tricked?

The banter between Atticus and Oberon never disappoints. The characters come alive through Hearne's writing and Daniel's narration.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I had the time to listen to this from start to finish in one sitting I definitely would have done.

Any additional comments?

This series continues to impress. I can't wait for the next book and was grateful for the 1st chapter tease of the next entry.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book is easy to recommend to Star Wars and Sci-Fi fans. The production value is through the roof. Actual sound effects from the movies/series are utilized. Marc Thompson does an excellent impression of most of the voices of the actual actors from the movies.

Which character – as performed by Marc Thompson – was your favorite?

Grand Admiral Thrawn. He evokes George Sander's Shere Khan from the Jungle Book with his civility and urbane wit. An excellent performance of a controlled master tactician.

Any additional comments?

The only reason I rated this a 4 overall is that some of the background effects are a little too distracting during certain segments of the story, including the sound effect for the start of each new chapter. I would only deduct half of a star if possible. The overall performance is spectacular. I hope that Random House and Marc Thompson are working on the 2nd and 3rd books in the series as well.

Mediocrity Has Merit

Taken as a whole the conclusion to The Immortals only manages to slightly rise above mediocre. I would probably rate the book 3.5 if given the option. Pacing issues abound and some of the directions the plot takes are baffling. I must agree with the previous reviewer that Damen is pretty controlling, manipulative, and unwilling to believe in Ever. I've thought since his introduction that Jude is a better interest for Ever. It wasn't all bad, obviously, I was pleased with how everything managed to conclude. I don't think I would have the patience to slog through the series again, however.
