Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

I sorry enjoyed this endearing book. Although it gets a little slow in the middle. stick with it. The ending is worth it.

loved it

I loved the characters in this story. Finished the book in one setting, as I had to know what happened to them. This is one of my favourite books I've listened to.

Historia
A mother and her teenage daughter are found murdered in a remote coastal home, one defiled by multiple stab wounds and the other posed like Sleeping Beauty waiting for her prince. Joe O'Loughlin is drawn into the investigation when a former student, trading on Joe's reputation by calling himself "the Mindhunter", jeopardizes the police inquiry by leaking details to the media and stirring up public anger.

too long
Revisado: 04-26-22
This novel is too long. a lot of useless information that was just boring. Also the narrator uses the same voice for the professor and the bad guy so it's confusing who is talking. I got so bored and confused that by the end I didn't care what happened. I was just glad it was over.

Historia
Michael Robotham's Suspect, hailed as "a lightning-paced debut" by Entertainment Weekly, was an international best seller that raised the bar for thrillers. Now two characters from that acclaimed novel, Detective Vincent Ruiz and psychologist Joe O'Loughlin, return for the electrifying Lost. When Detective Ruiz is pulled from the Thames, he has a bullet in his leg, a photograph of a missing (and presumed dead) girl in his pocket, and absolutely no memory of what happened.

skip the middle
Revisado: 04-14-22
I like Robotham books. But this one was so long it lost me in the middle. After falling asleep a few times I gave up reading the middle of this book. It is so boring and I didn't care about the characters.

Historia
The dead can't speak to us, Professor Madoc had said. But that was a lie. The body Patrick Fort is examining in anatomy class is trying to tell him all kinds of things. But no one hears what he does, and no one understands when he tries to tell them. Life is already strange enough for Patrick - being a medical student with Asperger's Syndrome doesn't come without its challenges. And that's before he is faced with solving a possible murder, especially when no one believes a crime has even taken place.
