You will learn nothing about coaching or any good strategies that you can apply to your life. It literally just talks about how great the “trillion dollar coach” is. Do not buy this audible if you are trying to learn useful techniques on coaching.

Historia
How is it possible for the disciplines of cosmology, geology, anthropology, biology, and history to fit together? These 48 lectures answer that question by weaving a single story from accounts of the past developed by a variety of scholarly disciplines. The result is a story stretching from the origins of the universe to the present day and beyond, in which human history is seen as part of the history of our Earth and biosphere, and the Earth's history, in turn, is seen as part of the history of the universe.

Big history is the best book from the great courses
Revisado: 10-12-16
I love this book. I enjoyed it from begging to end. We need to make this course mandatory for all high school students.
It is amazing how much evidence is presented in each chapter and how smooth the transition is from chapter to chapter.
The book explains everything we know about the universe, the planets, our earth, humanity and the future.
I highly recommend this book.

Would you like to know how the universe works? Scientists have been asking that question for a long time and have found that many of the answers can be found in the study of particle physics, the field that focuses on those impossibly tiny particles with unbelievably strange names - the hadrons and leptons, baryons and mesons, muons and gluons - so mystifying to the rest of us.

Revisado: 08-09-16
I learned a lot during this course about the Higgs boson and the zoo of elementary particles. I never took physics in college, but Professor Carroll does an amazing job explaining extremely complicated topics to the average listener. I finished this book wondering even more about particle physics and to understand more I depth what was thought in this lecture. I highly recommend it.

Learn to approach the critical decisions in your life with a more seasoned, educated eye with this fascinating 24-lecture series that explores how individuals, groups, and organizations make effective decisions. The heart of this accessible series is a thorough examination of decision making at three key levels. First, you'll look at decisions made at the individual level, where, among the many things you'll learn is that intuition is more than just a gut instinct and, in fact, represents a powerful pattern recognition capability.

So much good info I have to listen to this book again
Revisado: 06-21-16
It is amazing to know how easy it is to learn from previous events in history and the devotion making process that was used to either successfully complete a mission or a complete catastrophe. I enjoy the process of teaching used in this book which focuses on case studies. They engage you in the learning process and make you think about the different decisions that you would make as a leader.
We are always making decisions on a daily basis and this book helps you with the process of making the best decisions and having the right protocols to succeed as a leader or as a team player.
I highly recommend this book.

Historia
Why is America living in an age of profound economic inequality? Why, despite the desperate need to address climate change, have even modest environmental efforts been defeated again and again? Why have protections for employees been decimated? Why do hedge-fund billionaires pay a far lower tax rate than middle-class workers? The conventional answer is that a popular uprising against "big government" led to the rise of a broad-based conservative movement.

Journalism at its best
Revisado: 04-13-16
Jane Mayer has courageously gather so much evidence about how politics has been greatly influenced by dark money and private interest by a few individuals. All the evidence that Mayer presents leads to how the Koch brother buy influence in politics and they do it by creating and funding non profit organizations so that they can later deduct their donations from their taxes. They have created a really strong right wing army which they use for personal interest and to continue to deny climate change. Their fortune comes mostly from the fossil fuel industry so they try to protect their wealth even when their private interest are agains the interests of everyone else. The book clearly shows how "Citizens United" has benefited the super wealthy by giving them a stronger voice and force, which is slowly turning our democracy into an oligarchy. I strongly recommend this book to everyone who believes in democracy and the will of the people.
This has been one of the best books I've read.

Have you ever walked into a room and couldn't remember what you went there for? Have you ever grasped the hand of a potential client and then when the handshake broke, the name seemed to disappear from your memory? Or have you ever left a prospect or an important meeting and as you drove away remembered a key point that you should have shared with them? The problem is NOT with your memory. The problem is with the "Filing System" your brain currently uses to store and retrieve memory items.

Whatever your views on climate change, it's important to understand how the current scientific consensus on global warming evolved out of basic physical principles and a broad range of observations. This lucid series of 12 lectures is designed to do exactly that-reviewing the most up-to-date research and explaining the concepts, tools, data, and analysis that have led an overwhelming number of climate scientists to conclude that Earth is indeed warming and that we humans are in great part responsible.

This audiobook presents all the evidence on how it is that we know that the earth is warming at an alarming rate and how we can track these changes to the way we produce energy. We mainly produce energy by burning fossil fuels and its greenhouse byproducts are linked and correlated to climate change.

The Greatest Show on Earth is a stunning counterattack on advocates of "Intelligent Design," explaining the evidence for evolution while exposing the absurdities of the creationist "argument". Dawkins sifts through rich layers of scientific evidence: from living examples of natural selection to clues in the fossil record; from natural clocks that mark the vast epochs wherein evolution ran its course to the intricacies of developing embryos; from plate tectonics to molecular genetics.

Full of evidence
Revisado: 12-11-15
I'm amazed at how much evidence Dawkins provided for the proof of evolution. It is hard to believe that even in the 21st century about 40% of the citizens of the most industrialized Nation still believe the earth is 6,000 years old. Universities/schools aught to stay strong and teach the facts and evidence despite the push from fact deniers around the world. It is a long book but very interesting read. One of my favorites.
