I don’t usually rate and review but this book is absorbing, well written and a “can’t put it down” read. She’s bright, articulate and funny.

Historia
Outside the dining hall of the Alpine Manor nursing home, there is a sign that reads, "This is Grand Rapids, Michigan", a reminder for those who can no longer trust their own minds. For months, Cathy Wood has fed these residents, bathed them, and even moistened their eyes with artificial tears. To her, they live in a state worse than death - and she has decided to relieve them of their pain. Wood and her lover, Gwen Graham, make a pact to kill those whom they were hired to care for.

I’v read in a long time. The depth the author went into re mental heath issues of the murderers is refreshing. Only ten reviews have been posted here; so many people aren’t choosing it. What a shame!

I didn’t expect too much from a free book. It’s usually hit and miss but this one was one of the best true crime books I’ve read in a while. Good plot, good narration, and a satisfying ending.

I know it’s free but…
Revisado: 03-02-23
Perhaps it wouldn’t have been so bad if the narrator hadn’t added odd inflections. The author relayed her experiences in a weird, poor me kind of way. Again it’s free so I got what I paid for. Truly it’s just so odd!

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Gotta day I believe the Spare and have to say it appears William turned out exactly like his father. Have to think Diana would be very sad.

What’s with all the bad reviews
Revisado: 11-06-22
The story of Perry’s odyssey through addiction is redemptive. He seems to bare his soul while at the same time acknowledging his fame and money afforded him some leeway. He writes well and the narration is engaging. He makes a few weird comments regarding other actors but it seemed off the cuff and not really negative. This is the only autobiography/memoir I’ve read that seems honest. I’m not sure why there are so many angry reviews but this book is worth the listen.

Revisado: 08-10-21
But I wouldn’t have expected Scarpetta to sound like that. The narrator does make a difference to me but not enough to ruin the book.
I really enjoy Patricia Cornwell’s books. She has a way with words I don’t find with other authors.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read that takes you away from the day to day grind.
