Such a good book! So many twists and turns, The Housemaid keeps you engrossed and rooting for the main characters. I finished this book in two days.

High expectations fell flat

How many times can one be “taken aback”? Far too many times, according to CH. This was written, and read, like a teenager wrote it. I really wanted a story of someone who set out to do right, not someone whom was forced to. She did not come away looking like the shining patriot of the republican party, she came away looking like an enamored little girl who only made the right choice, when it was the only choice left. At her own admission, she is broke so kudos for her revenue stream. Way to make lemonade out of lemons. I wonder though, would she vote for trump again?

A must read!!

This ugly tragedy played out in my hone town. It is told in a poignant and matter of fact way, that really bring the massive scope of the Nassar scandal down to a personal level. I hope all will read, and learn, from this. Very well written.

Exciting and intriguing!!

This one needs to be a movie!! Fascinating story of jealousy and revenge. You’ll root for the main character,although her flaws and misdeeds facilitate the drama that ensues. A most engaging read!!

Mispronunciations abound

This is actually a very good story, however my issue is with the narrator. She keeps mispronouncing words and it started to make me nuts. She has the same person with an British accent speak with an American accent. The word “debut” seems to be extra tough.

A most wonderful read!

The author glides you through the lives of Thomas Jefferson and his eldest daughter, Martha. Written via their remaining letters. Rich with the vibrant history of our countries revolution and that of the French. History buffs are certain to enjoy.

Fun and engaging storyline

I adored this prequel to Practical Magic! The characters were richly intricate, with wonderfully woven storytelling. As soon as I finished this, I watched Practical Magic again. Time for the book. Bravo, Alice!

Cute storyline

The only part about this audiobook I did not like was the narrators voice. It was a book written from a woman’s perspective, however a man narrated. He made the women’s lines sound whiny and strange. I will not purchase another book narrated by this man.
Cute story though.
