Historia
Diana O’Toole is perfectly on track. She will be married by thirty, done having kids by thirty-five, and move out to the New York City suburbs, all while climbing the professional ladder in the cutthroat art auction world. She’s an associate specialist at Sotheby’s now, but her boss has hinted at a promotion if she can close a deal with a high-profile client. She’s not engaged just yet, but she knows her boyfriend, Finn, a surgical resident, is about to propose on their romantic getaway to the Galápagos - days before her thirtieth birthday. Right on time.

GREAT!!
Revisado: 11-10-22
You can't go wrong with Jodi, unless you're unable to tolerate left-wing narrative and the obvious jabs some authors' take at those on the other end of their beliefs. Can't we all play nice on the playground, acceptance and "inclusivity" all around, as is the talk? Clearly, these traits are not the walk. Can't we tell riveting stories that--if you must include differences--present both sides equally rather than using awesome fiction as another platform? The steep slant pivoting acceptance of differences is my only disappointment in this otherwise hallmark read.

Historia
Eight years ago, Grace McMullen broke Sutton Whitlock’s heart when she walked away. But it was only to save him from the baggage of her own troubled past. Now all she wants is to make sure he’s okay. Only everything she learns about him online says otherwise. According to his social media accounts, he placed roots in her hometown, married a look-alike, and even named his daughter Grace. He clearly hasn’t moved on. In fact, it’s creepy. So Grace does what any concerned ex-girlfriend would do: She moves home…and watches him.

My New Favorite Author
Revisado: 09-09-21
Bravo! Loved the ease of read while navigating the plot's twits and turns. I sense a sequel where Bliss reveals she's Grace's mother! Minka? On to listen to a second book by this intriguing story spinner. Advice to potential readers: Any negative reviews you might found regarding this book, ditch them and listen to this book.

Charlie Finn had to grow up fast, living alone by age 16. Highly intelligent, he earned a life-changing scholarship to Harvard, where he learned how to survive and thrive on the outskirts of privileged society. E.X.C.E.L.L.E.N.T. as usual!
Revisado: 03-30-19
When I discovered Charles Martin's work, it was a refreshing blessing. He is a highly gifted storyteller who effortlessly weaves real life and the complexities of the human spirit and faculties into remarkable masterpieces--true works of art. Such is Water from My Heart. (This coming not only from my love of books as an avid, prolific reader but also from my work as a substantive book editor and writer). Thank you, Mr. Martin, for listening to, hearing, and walking out with words whatever is planted in your heart, season by season.

Historia
One moment June Nealon was happily looking forward to years full of laughter and adventure with her family, and the next she was staring into a future that was as empty as her heart. Now her life is a waiting game. Waiting for time to heal her wounds, waiting for justice. In short, waiting for a miracle to happen. For Shay Bourne, life holds no more surprises. The world has given him nothing, and he has nothing to offer the world. In a heartbeat, though, something happens that changes everything for him.

Brilliant!
Revisado: 04-16-17
Jodi Picoult is a masterful writer, weaving human truth in both delicate, vulnerable, captivating, and powerful braids that will remain timeless. She forces readers to consider both sides of every controversy, and to inspect in detail every fact and human perspective under a microscope. Picoult is an author who doesn't force her personal views but serves as a presenter of all views to challenge one's reasoning why we each believe what we believe. Brilliant.
