Historia
Contains books three and four of Time Wars Last Forever. Fragmented Time: Time is tearing apart. The Earth and every soul on it are not just gone; they never even existed. Jon Ryan's hopes of pulling off yet another miracle are evaporating like drops of rain on hot desert sands. Shattered Time: Time has not been kind to Jon Ryan. It almost seems personal between the two of them. His mission to resurrect a lost Earth gets more complicated, more dangerous, and less likely to succeed with each new barrier thrown in his path.

Pretty good but...
Revisado: 03-22-22
A lot of bad joke telling attempts going on in this one. First one wasn't as bad. But this one, it seems almost like every man is constantly trying to make a joke and every woman is annoyed by his mere presence in the room. It's not "that" bad, but I have forwarded through some of it as it gets pretty old near the end.
I will say that the narrator does a wonderful job. And the story itself is good. I'll finish it and probably get the third one, we'll see what else catches my eye first though.

One of the best books I've ever read!
Revisado: 01-22-22
I loved this story. My only problem with it is that I am done reading it. If you liked It reminds me more of Bobiverse than the Martian, but there are a lot of scientific problems to solve like The Maritain. It's very good. If you are a bit of a science geek, have a sense of humor and love epic tales, this book is for you. Download it now!

Tim and his friends find out the hard way that you shouldn't question the game master, and you shouldn't make fun of his cape. One minute, they're drinking away the dreariness of their lives, escaping into a fantasy game and laughing their asses off. The next minute, they're in a horse-drawn cart surrounded by soldiers pointing crossbows at them.

This book was very juvenile.
Revisado: 12-04-15
What would have made Critical Failures better?
More adult style of writing. Couldn't get into it at all. Quit mid-way in chapter 2.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Not sure
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Seems like he was over-doing it and some of the voices were very annoying.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Critical Failures?
Not scenes, characters.
Any additional comments?
Too bad. I actually played a lot of D&D and I didn't recognize any of the characters as being someone who would have been at one of the games I've played. Makes me wonder if the writer used one of those horrible movies about the game instead of actually playing it.

Outstanding!!
Revisado: 10-10-13
Would you listen to The Daylight War again? Why?
It took me a couple of chapters to get back into this story. The others were so long and detailed that I had wondered if I needed to listen to them again. But I found that I started to recognize the characters again rather quickly. I LOVE this story!! It's a world unto itself and it is just so well done. And the narration was outstanding as well. If you're on the fence about whether to get back into this story - quit procrastinating already and download this book!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Arlan (is that how its spelled?)
What about Pete Bradbury’s performance did you like?
Just quality work. Couldn't ask for a better narrator for this story.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Just the detail and the rich characters.

Depressing book
Revisado: 09-26-11
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
People who don't get depressed easily.
What could Danielle Steel have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Make it a lot less depressing. I did not need a full quarter of this book to be devoted to a divorce.
What about Joe Grifasi’s performance did you like?
Very well read. The performance was great and I always prefer having a man read my romances to me, since women don't do much for me in that way, if you know what I mean. Too bad he couldn't do much to help the story itself.
What character would you cut from The Ghost?
The old lady. She really had no purpose at all in this story other than to rent out a house, but a LOT of time was spent on her.
Any additional comments?
I very rarely write bad reviews, but this book was depressing, depressing, depressing. Not much of a paranormal aspect, in short, there are VERY few ghosts in this story named Ghost. It did make me cry, which is not always a bad thing, but it really brought up all of the bad relationships I'd had in my own life. That is not what I want from a romance. Plus, it was a story about a story, really. A lot of it took place in the late 1700's, which is not a period of time I really like to visit. I thought I was getting a story about ghosts and romance, but all I got was a story about a couple of people who were hurting bad trying to get over it and an old story about some woman in the past with a ghost thrown in once or twice just for the heck of it. And did I mention it was very depressing?

Frustrating "Read"
Revisado: 10-26-10
The first part was interesting. The middle part went on FOREVER. I found myself fast forwarding through a 10 chapter (or more) sea voyage where the same thing just kept happening over and over. If I had to read about the ship going to the top of the wave and back down one more time, my head was going to explode, so I just FF through until the end, which in itself was very disapointing. The ending was not satisfying and was written as "news stories" so it was almost like the writer got as tired of writing it as I did listneing to it. The story could have easily cut out 10 hours off and just got on with the plot...what little there was of it. In short, interesting idea, but poorly exectued.

Historia
Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was 36. They were married when Clare was 23 and Henry was 31. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous, his experiences unpredictable, alternately harrowing and amusing.

I LOVED this book. I put it down around an hour or two from the end because I suspected what was going to happen and did not want it to. I did finish it though and it made my heart hurt. I laughed, I cried and I fell in love. I will never forget this story.

Historia
On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

King does it again...
Revisado: 12-17-09
I don't know how SK manages to make the most "mundane" things seem so interesting. A scary clown, an entire book written in one room and now a town isolated from the world. I normally read King's stories and since he is a bit wordy sometimes I find myself skimming over half of the content. In this one, I listened instead and really, really enjoyed the book. I finished it in record time and wanted more. I wished he had delved into the ending a bit more, and written a lot more about that situation (don't want to spoil here) but it was a good ending and overall one of my best "listens" this year.
