this might be my favorite book in the first law world, right next to the heroes. always have been a big fan of classic westerns and I love the themes and ambience applied to this world. a story of redemption and a fantastic send-off to one of the greatest characters in fantasy. thank you Joe

Historia
Suburbia. Shady, tree-lined streets; well-tended lawns; and cozy homes. A nice, quiet place to grow up. Unless you are teenage Meg or her crippled sister, Susan. On a dead-end street, in the dark, damp basement of the Chandler house, Meg and Susan are left captive to the savage whims and rages of a distant aunt who is rapidly descending into madness. It is a madness that infects all three of her sons and finally the entire neighborhood. Only one troubled boy stands hesitantly between Meg and Susan and their cruel, torturous deaths.

Historia
It's as big as the Empire State Building, a massive floating fortress at the throbbing heart of a US Navy carrier battle group. Its supersonic aircraft can level entire cities at a stroke. Its surveillance gear can track every target within thousands of square miles - in the air, on the surface, and under the sea. Its crew of 6,000 works night and day to keep this awesome military machine at peak performance. It's a Nimitz-class nuclear carrier, the most powerful weapons system on the planet. Nothing can touch it.

Dick Cheney's fanfiction
Revisado: 09-19-20
I usually enjoy military schlock, but this was too much even for me. George Goodell is the reason I pulled the trigger here, he's good. But everything else, was difficult to enjoy . Every character in the story is a Mary Sue. There's one female in this book , love at first sight. I've seen better character development in erotic fan fiction. This would only appeal to someone drunk on the Kool-Aid of military elitism. I don't mind if an author gets preachy as long as you have something to say. Borderline juvenile.

OK but I'm going to pass on the next one
Revisado: 09-11-17
Narrator is a little boring, and the characters are thin. It is a fun story so I didn't have a problem finishing, but it wants to be epic fantasy when it should be happy as a pulp fan book. Worst part is all the whining about the government, I get it. But it is uber annoying.

Very accurately depicts the view of those who are less emotional and more connected to the tangible aspects of our lives
favorable translation and adequate performance, listener may want to try Dostoevsky if this was enjoyable but too brief
