I like the story and was well put together. I often listened right before bed because Richard has a melodically smooth accent. I was half asleep when he said he would defend the pedophiles who used to abuse him. That woke me up. That to me is trying to normalize pedophilia.

Richard makes a point that religion might be innate in humanity. Of course it is. It’s almost like we were made to worship. If you eliminate religion, how are you to nourish that deep psychological need that is so innate? Most people would call that a spiritual need. Science is wonderful but lacks the nourishment you need that has been delivered for millennia by Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, etc. You have to try to replace or feel subconsciously or consciously miserable under atheism. Good luck. Your old place of worship is still open my friend. Go back. When Carl Jung said he used to believe, but now he knows God is real, this is what he was talking about. He knows God is real and necessary.

My wife attended a conference Mickey was the keynote at in Tuscaloosa, AL. She came home and was so charged by her experience that I decided to listen to Mickey’s book. I knew very little about autism, so I wanted to find out more. So thankful to have listened to this book. I have to say this was the best audiobook I’ve ever listened to. From the performance to the content, it was awesome!
