Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Interesting enough to complete in one day.
Revisado: 12-18-24
The book is well done but I found it a bit disappointing at the end because it gave no solutions. We are basically told we are bad at talking to strangers. I did not hear how one could improve on that.

Historia
In this groundbreaking book, Carl Johan Calleman reveals the quantum science of the Maya, a science lost to the modern world that explains the phenomenology of psychedelics and altered states of consciousness. The ancient Maya had a sophisticated understanding of the multidimensional nature of reality and the forces that drive the evolution of consciousness. Calleman explains how quantum waves, illustrated by the Mayan Calendar, emanate from the center of the universe and activate new phases in the evolution of consciousness through holographic resonance.

The book tells you it will get to the subject at hand in the later chapters but it rambles on about things I have no interest or belief in.

When poker players talk, they sometimes reveal information about their hands. Verbal Poker Tells describes the most common and reliable verbal patterns poker players have. More importantly, it gives you a framework for thinking about and analyzing verbal behavior at the poker table. The author analyzes many real poker hands: some from televised poker shows such as The World Series of Poker, Poker After Dark, and High Stakes Poker, some played by the author, and some submitted by other players.

Awesome Book

Although the author is not a well known poker genius, he covers a lot of ground. It was a much better book than I expected.

I found the information basic

I did not like the book as a whole. It seemed a bit basic and no real direction. I always look at my walm with Christ but I thought this book would bring new insight. It did not bring anything new.
