I love this podcast since they started years ago. They don't make it too long or heavy, it's easy listening but still catchy and interesting. Feels like they are just people like us making a podcast for fun.

Disappointing
Revisado: 01-22-22
Narrator was very good, she was accurate and nailed the expressions and pitch to recreate the meaning of things. The story and book overall was disappointing, more of the same without a spark.

Revisado: 11-18-20

Historia
Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

Just brilliant!
Revisado: 06-07-19
Fantastic book, I was hooked for 3 days because I could not stop wondering what was next. It is unexpected, interesting, well written, dynamic and even realistic (something difficult to find in this type of books). The author makes sure you just have no clue of what's going on but with the sensation you actually know it all and then comes the... "what???" it is simply brilliant. From 89 books I happily have until today in audible this is the first one I would have given 6 starts if I could.

Historia
Hen and her husband, Lloyd, have settled into a quiet life in a new house outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Hen (short for Henrietta) is an illustrator and works out of a studio nearby and has found the right meds to control her bipolar disorder. Finally, she’s found some stability and peace. But when they meet the neighbors next door, that calm begins to erode as she spots a familiar object displayed on the husband’s office shelf. The sports trophy looks exactly like one that went missing from the home of a young man who was killed two years ago.

Simply great! No joke, this book is great!
Revisado: 03-26-19
I have 59 books since I started the membership with audible and this book is just the very best I have. It is surprising, you remain in suspense, it's unpredictable and done in a perfect timing. Sometimes I struggle with good books because they become so slow that at a certain point I start to wish it finishes soon. With this book was the very opposite, it kept me interested and after it finished I wished I could hear more. The performance is very good, story line brilliant and the overall recommended. It is a psychological tricky book, if you are a fan of books that you can't predict this one is a good one.

Historia
In Rethinking Narcissism listeners will learn that there's far more to narcissism than its reductive invective would imply. The truth is that narcissists (all of us) fall on a spectrum somewhere between utter selflessness on the one side and arrogance and grandiosity on the other. A healthy middle exhibits a strong sense of self.

Great input
Revisado: 02-07-19
After reading many books about this topic, I find the focus and the practical explanation of how the narcissist spectrum works in this book fantastic. For the first time I hear a research based description of how this epidemic affect us, real cases and a neutral realistic analysis about this rasing problem.
Sharing personal opinions:
If you are being abused by a narcissist this book might not suit your needs at the start of your recovery. It is more an informative supporting tool to understand where the narcissist behavior comes from and how to deal with it in general. If you are or recently were a victim, the emphatic approach of this book will perhaps be rejected by your broken soul that needs emotional support and healing first.
If you think you are a narcissist yourself this can help a great deal,. It's the only book I have so far that doesn't attack and describe narcissists as horrible monsters. Instead, it points out the root of this personality disorder and the consequences people around experience out of this important issue.

Easy to listen to.
Revisado: 11-26-18
It was for me interesting to hear how veterans struggle with post traumatic disorder and how we (non military related people) can't understand them when coming back home. Some jokes were funny but overall the story was the good part in my opinion.
