Always a fan of Dragon rider stories with well written plots this author seems to think the F word is necessary to her success. Too bad.
Fast- forwarded through several prolonged sex scenes .
Innovative dragon related. powers in the riders added a unique plot thread.

Where is a nice soft Swiss German accent? Classic story, wrong image of a Swiss patriarch. I kept expecting. "God save the Queen" to pop out. of his very proper rBritish accent.

The absolute best narration of any book I've listened to. Every accent is spot on, effortless transition from male to female voices.
The author has a mastery of her craft. History comes alive for Claire and the reader/ listener as she adjusts to life 200 years before her time as a WWII nurse.

Quirky new twist on Norse mythology

Totally pulled in by the very relatable single veterinary student Amy. All the characters ring true and its great to get to know the handsome Loki who is innately kind and loyal as well as wickedly clever.
The autbors is skilled in filling in Loki's extensive back story while creating a compelling 21st century adventure/love story.
I re-listen to this first volume over and over as Amy and her grandmother somehow quickly recognize who and what Loki is and because his loyalty and oath keeping trust him to be part of their lives.
The humor is great too.

Compelling Characters-Fantastic Narration

Knights in armour, princesses in peril, wolves and Dragons!
Elements that compel men and women to follow the stories in this series. The author is a keen observer of personality strengths and weaknesses and blends them expertly into complicated characters. As soon as I've decided to dislike one they can redeem themselves through an act of compassion. ..but not always.
An intelligent but bloody and sexually graphic series that has me skipping ahead at times. I love the connections between humans and their animals. Examination of men's concepts of diety and their own spiritual gifts is also somewhat thought provoking.

Even if you don't know or like Norse mythology the author makes it fascinating as she weaves ancient characters in to contemporary situations. I love Loki as chaos and necessary part of the whole picture of creation.
The author captivates the reader with compelling characters,storyline, philosophy, science, love and adventure better than most attempting science fiction fantasy novels today.
My second read was almost more enjoyable than the first
