Historia
Between 1999 and 2017, an estimated 250,000 Americans died from overdoses involving prescription painkillers, a plague ignited by Purdue Pharma’s aggressive marketing of OxyContin. Families, working class and wealthy, have been torn apart, businesses destroyed, and public officials pushed to the brink. Meanwhile, the drugmaker’s owners, Raymond and Mortimer Sackler, whose names adorn museums worldwide, made enormous fortunes from the commercial success of OxyContin.

Revisado: 01-16-19
This book was amazing, well researched and accurate. I do a lot of work surrounding the opioid crisis and learned things from this book. A must read for anyone wanting to better understand the inner workings of how American got where it is present day with Opioids.

Fabulous Depiction of REALITY!
Revisado: 04-19-18
James Comey did an outstanding job with this book. I listened to it in its entirety in less than 24 hours. It is so clear that Comey embodies so many admirable characteristics such as honesty, integrity, dignity, ethics, and upholding the American constitution. My how I wish he was our current president. It also saddens me that such an accomplished professional could be so frivolously and vindictively let go over a narcissist dictators insecurities. The truth will set you free, and it’s my hope the great work of James Comey and the FBI will set our country free in coming weeks and months!

Terrifyingly Eye Opening
Revisado: 04-12-18
This book made me tear up in rage... I still cannot believe or comprehend the level of malice, deception, and vindictiveness from the Russian government. It is a very sad time in the world when entire countries will go to such lengths in an attempt to flex power. Sadly, this has resulted in the most laughably devastating president in American history. Great read.

Three out of four people addicted to heroin probably started on a prescription opioid, according to the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In the United States alone, 16,000 people die each year as a result of prescription opioid overdose. But perhaps the most frightening aspect of the prescription drug epidemic is that it's built on well-meaning doctors treating patients with real problems.
