Historia
The safe, comfortable world of Lily Ruckler and her fellow Mystical Kings and Queens is rocked to the core by the attacks at King Hall. Not only does Lily have to kill the Commoners attacking her people, she also has to assume the mantle of leadership and bring the surviving Mysticals to King Cave. It should have been too much, but she is not alone. Ezra becomes her rock, her best friend, the one person who understands. As Pearl and Jack struggle with inconsolable loss, Ezra and Lily work to keep the Mys community safe in their new home and plan a deadly retaliation.

My all time favorite series
Revisado: 12-19-23
I read this series at least once a year; I love it so much. I was thrilled when it came to Audible. The narrator did a great job. I hope the other books will be on Audible soon.

Historia
Her beauty almost certainly saved her from the rising Nazi party and led to marriage with an Austrian arms dealer. Underestimated in everything else, she overheard the Third Reich's plans while at her husband's side, understanding more than anyone would guess. She devised a plan to flee in disguise from their castle, and the whirlwind escape landed her in Hollywood. She became Hedy Lamarr, screen star.

Interesting read
Revisado: 10-14-23
Not a slow start at all. I found the entire book - her life - interesting. Her struggle at the end was maddening…that the military wouldn’t listen to her because she was a woman. Sad but true that was the reality for women. I almost didn’t read it because of that (it is hard for me to read entire books about prejudice because it makes me mad), but this book was about so much more than that. Everyone’s life is a struggle and Hedy had her share of struggles, but she was nothing if not resilient, and her life is worth the read.

Slow with a chaotic timeline
Revisado: 12-24-21
It started off so slow. Not just the normal “slow” that great books take to lay a foundation and character development. Pretty much the entire book is slow with pockets of excitement 3/4 of the way into it. The timeline is also muddled and disjointed, I see the potential, and I hear the second one is much better so I soldiered through to the end.

It’s so bad
Revisado: 12-17-21
I purchased this because it was highly recommended. The performance is fine. The story is just…..bad. I really wanted to like it, but the main character is so one dimensional and unlikeable.

Historia
Deep below the University, there is a dark place. Few people know of it: a broken web of ancient passageways and abandoned rooms. A young woman lives there, tucked among the sprawling tunnels of the Underthing, snug in the heart of this forgotten place. Her name is Auri, and she is full of mysteries. The Slow Regard of Silent Things is a brief, bittersweet glimpse of Auri’s life, a small adventure all her own. At once joyous and haunting, this story offers a chance to see the world through Auri’s eyes.

Seriously, don’t waste your money
Revisado: 01-17-21
This book is such a disappointment from the rest of the series. I saw the negative reviews, but I decided to ignore them because I simply couldn’t imagine this book being less than amazing, and let’s face it, there are a lot of negative people out there. At the risk of sounding like one of those negative people, this is quite possibly the most boring book I’ve ever read....and I’ve read thousands.
