Epic fantasy at its best

I’ve seen the reviews saying don’t start here but I did and I still loved it. Sure there are past histories but that makes me long to start at the prequels after this series. Go ahead and begin the journey with a cast of characters you will grow to love. All perfectly voiced by Travis Baldree.

Don’t let the title fool you

I saw this one and passed it by a few times. It was the fact that Travis Baldree read it that made me purchase this one. I am so glad I did. The story flows and is filled with interconnected plots and sub stories that fit perfectly together. In the end, you will be glad you picked up this noble bird “Chicken”

If you are already a fan then you will not be disappointed. Nicoli’s writing Carries you along on a non-stop action fest. Travis Baldree is a master of storytelling as well. Highly recommended!

Surprising Gem of a Story

I love Eric’s bad guy fantasy series with “Clyde” I was hoping to find the next in the one I am following and I’m glad I picked this up. Candace does an amazing job at narrating and the story continues along at a breakneck pace with just enough weirdness to make it interesting.

Unique take on the RPG fantasy novel genre

This blends so many interesting elements. You have the litrpg style of leveling up and experiencing a game-like atmosphere all from the the curious viewpoint of a little animated teddy bear. Tim Gerard Reynolds does an incredible job at narrating this thoroughly captivating story.

From the very first moment the little guy gets animated to the thrilling and sad end, I was enthralled. I thoroughly recommend this one. One word of caution: I almost played this one for my young daughter but there are a few instances of naughty language so listen first and decide if it’s appropriate.

I would definitely recommend this Paddington Bear meets Lord of the Rings style fantasy to anyone who is still young at heart. It makes me look at my daughter’s “Beah” in a whole new light.

Awesome narration!

This story was great and probably would have been good by itself but Rupert Degas nailed it. I could swear there were three or more people doing the narration. He flawlessly narrated and read each character in perfect inflection, depth of feeling and accent. I almost passed this one by but so glad I didn’t. This is top notch stuff!

Narrator really matches the well-spun story

If you’re looking for a novel reminiscent of the old private detective series but set in a world full of swords, horses and the occasional magical occurrence then this is for you.

I was hanging on waiting for him to untie the next knot in his intricate story of bloodshed, revenge, love, and the occasional modern event mixed in with the past.

Brandon Sanderson easily creates intricate worlds with different laws of physics and magic combined with complex characters. At 27 hours this masterpiece is a bargain on Audible and a must-listen for any fantasy fan.
