It's well written, but I had different expectations than this. The author has learned helplessness in the beginning of the book couldn't get through it so I'm not sure about the end, and she romanticizes s.h. a lot describing it multiple times in gory yet poetic detail. I wanted to hear someone's experience through dialectical behavioral therapy not moan in self pity. The author has incredible privilege she can afford housing, a car, was approved for disability benefits, has access to therapy which very few people have, and she at least one supportive caring person in her life. The narrator's tone is true to the character, the narrator did a great job, but it's just oozing self pity. It is cringe worthy how much this book I feel is the author just begging for sympathy. As a woman with bpd I don't relate to the author. This book made me feel worse.

This is such a fun read, and the narrator's voice is so nice, and fun. This is a millennial's guide to money with fun insights into other people's spending.
