Historia
Beth and her gentle, kind husband Frank are happily married, but their relationship relies on the past staying buried. But when Beth’s brother-in-law shoots a dog going after their sheep, Beth doesn’t realize that the gunshot will alter the course of their lives. For the dog belonged to none other than Gabriel Wolfe, the man Beth loved as a teenager—the man who broke her heart years ago. Gabriel has returned to the village with his young son Leo, a boy who reminds Beth very much of her own son, who died in a tragic accident.

In the early 2000s, after years of hard work and determination to breakthrough as an actor, Bethany Joy Lenz was finally cast as one of the leads on the hit drama One Tree Hill. Her career was about to take off, but her personal life was slowly beginning to unravel. What none of the show’s millions of fans knew, hidden even from her costars, was her secret double life in a cult. An only child who always wanted a place to belong, Lenz found the safe haven she’d been searching for in a Bible study group with other Hollywood creatives. However, the group soon morphed into something more sinister.

Few loose ends, too many characters just not relevant to or necessary for the story. Love Coco but the excess pickleball chatter was so annoying

Harriet and Wyn have been the perfect couple since they met in college—they go together like salt and pepper, honey and tea, lobster and rolls. Except, now—for reasons they’re still not discussing—they don’t. They broke up five months ago. And still haven’t told their best friends.

Don’t see the hype…
Revisado: 06-14-23
I love novels about friendships & Maine is amazing… but the main character’s obsession with not letting Wynn love her was ridiculous truly. Julia W is a great narrator, however I found the very-breathy male narrator quite annoying. Lots of “true romance” descriptions in this book… if you love “gaze lifting” & lots of bottled angst, here u go🤗🤗

So excited to listen to this & liked it until the narrator/author’s dismissive & sonewhat-pompous thoughts completely overshadowed what we have to learn about the wonderful Lucille. Sadly 2 other book club friends who listened agreed. Lucille rocks

WHAT?
Revisado: 02-12-23
Great narration got us through a long road trip, but this story expected WAY too much willing suspension of disbelief. In a well, at Christmas, with a recently dead body? And everyone goes along with barbaric dangerous “family games?” Lovely narrator & listened til the end hoping it would all make sense. And disappointed.
