Speedrunning the Multiverse is another fantastic book from Adastra339. I'm a huge fan of their other work: Savage Awakening. They didn't disappoint with this one either!!!! I loved this start to finish.

My only gripes come from the stark simularities between Savage Awakening and Speedrunning the multiverse. It's clear these take place in completely different systems, but so much is similar that it blurs. Not to mention the main character has chain related abilities like the main character in Savage Awakening. It's still more than entertaining enough to be a top five in my books, but not enough to beat what it's so similar to.

As a standalone book however, it is unique to any other litrpg I've seen in the concept and main character. Seeing someone who's conquered all kinds of cultivations across a hundred lifetimes is super interesting!! It's not just "the scrawny nobody rises to power because plot". It really comes across like he knows the ins and outs. He's just trying to do it as quick as possible.

I'd highly suggest it!!!

Came in to this after having listened to Rick Scott's Path of the Berserker series a good 4 times, solidifying it as my favorite audiobook/ series.

I started Dodge Tank with expectations low because i didn't think there was any way it could be as good as Path of the Berserker, but I loved it!!! As a standalone book I'd put it third overall in my favorite series's of all time, but I'm going to listen to the others and see where it moves!

Rick Scott is an incredible author and I'm always super impressed by his story telling ability.

I would highly recommend this book for the delivery on the LitRPG elements alone, but the story and characters are top notch too!

If you are looking for some very fast paced, endless bounds of progression in some incredible world building, Savage Awakening is for you. I would highly suggest the first book if you're at all interested.

If you want less of a commitment, this one is jam packed with insane stuff. They give you enough context to get you into it without being overbearing.

Cant wait for the next one!

Things ramped up so significantly in this book it was insane. When I realised the whole book was going to be about the super dungeon early on I groaned, thinking it was going to be slow and hard to get through, but the progression and challenges were so engaging. I couldn't believe how amazing it was. Christian does an amazing job narrating as usual and I cannot wait for the next book. Give this one a shot!

I strongly disagree with the reviews upset with the narrator. I believe Mitchell fit this role incredibly well. It's surprising that I managed to get through the staggering 30 hours of content in just two weeks but I couldn't put it down!

Constant palpable progression that you can resonate with in a world where you can really understand differences in strength between the main character and his opponents

The strength of the narrative is surprising. There were so many turns that I couldn't have foreseen, and it starting in such a modern era makes for a very relatable main character as he pushes against the dictatorship before him.

I highly suggest popping a credit on this if you enjoy the prologue at all. Give it an hour and it picks up tremendously. It would have been worth the $40 if I didn't get the chance to use a credit on it. I'll be buying the second book immediately and awaiting the third!

I have many opinions on this three parter. The world building and power system is incredible. It was honestly worth listening to just for that progression alone. The main character Juliet is the most pretentious, self centered protagonist I've ever read about in any book. She has very little development in that regard and what she worries about changes drastically depending on what's right in front of her. The biggest story line is her love drama between two brothers, Adam and Warner. She puts her feelings and irrationality before literally everything else. She had me ranting to myself so often listening to her insane decisions and priorities as the story went on.

Kenji is by far the best character in my opinion. Juliet is the worst. There are complaints about the "scratching" sound that plays throughout the first and some of the second books. I actually enjoyed that a bunch. It was such a unique element that it engaged me. The narration is immaculate if not a little inconsistent at times. I really hope the same voice actress does the next books. I plan on listening just to see how Juliet destroys everything around her.

Individually, the first book is a 2.5/5, the second is a 3/5, and the third is a 4/5. It's slowly gotten better as Juliet has developed. The ending of the third book felt very fast paced and not very satisfying, so I hope it gets better from here.

Do not read if you did not enjoy the sample. The things you didn't like about it just get worse for about 15 hours before they get better.
