Interestingly horrifying
Revisado: 09-26-14
Where does The Perfect Liar rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It's up there with the rest of the thriller mysteries I listen to
What does Allyson Johnson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The Boston accent
Any additional comments?
I really didn't like that DD was injured. That storyline just wasn't believable.

O M G ! ! ! !
Revisado: 05-22-14
If you could sum up Unlucky 13 in three words, what would they be?
Edgy, scary, fantastic
What other book might you compare Unlucky 13 to and why?
There hasn't been one this good for a long time. This should be compared to an action movie, instead of a book
Did January LaVoy do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
There wasn't enough distinction in the female voices
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I was so scared for Brady and Yuki and I couldn't imagine anything bad happening to them, but it was real, on the edge of your seat storytelling.
Any additional comments?
I loved how they wrapped up Mackie's story line and the fact that there were belly bombs is a real scary possibility, but I think we will see Donna and her half brother in the next storyline

Historia
Two dead bodies changed the course of my life that fall. One of them I knew and the other I'd never laid eyes on until I saw him in the morgue. The first was a local PI of suspect reputation. He'd been gunned down near the beach at Santa Teresa. It looked like a robbery gone bad. The other was on the beach six weeks later. He'd been sleeping rough. Probably homeless. No identification. A slip of paper with Millhone's name and number was in his pants pocket. The coroner asked her to come to the morgue to see if she could ID him.

Dragging
Revisado: 12-05-13
If you could sum up W Is for Wasted in three words, what would they be?
Wordy, the book was too wordy and it dragged on and on to the point that I was getting bored with the subject matter
What was one of the most memorable moments of W Is for Wasted?
The ones where there was interaction with the homeless people
How could the performance have been better?
There could have been more distinction in the voices of the characters. I had a hard time distinguishing the characters In conversations.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No it pretty much killed the time on my commute to and from work.
Any additional comments?
I wanted to know more about Pearl and Dandy? How did they get to be homeless?

If you could sum up Deception in three words, what would they be?
Lust, Lust and Lust...We all want what we can't have, and then when we get it, we don't know what to do with it. The story comes full circle...She really has no one else to blame but herself
If you’ve listened to books by Naomi Chase before, how does this one compare?
Haven't listened to any others
What does Diana Luke bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She's Ok...since I haven't listened to the other one, I can't compare.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, absolutely...It was pretty hot
Any additional comments?
Very disappointed in the ending...a book shouldn't just end like that

Would you listen to Payback again? Why?
Probably not because I want to listen to the rest of the series first

The most memorable moment was when I found out that the senator and the couple had been put "out to pasture"
Have you listened to any of Laural Merlington’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Historia
On the surface, these seven women are as different as can be - but each has had her share of bad luck, from cheating husbands to sexist colleagues to a legal system that often doesn't do its job. Now, drawn together by tragedy, they're forging a bond that will help them right the wrongs committed against them and discover an inner strength they didn't know they had. The Sisterhood is learning that when bad things happen, you can roll over and play dead...or you can get up fighting...

Awesome series
Revisado: 08-21-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Weekend Warriors to be better than the print version?
I don't know, I didn't read the print edition, but I love this story and the characters
What did you like best about this story?
I think I liked the camaraderie of the women how they look after each other and Charles looks out for all of them
Which character – as performed by Laural Merlington – was your favorite?
I liked all of them for different reasons. I least liked Julia, she seemed so weak and timid. Loved Katherine and her spunk. Loved Myra for her generosity. Felt bad for Nicky and her situation with Jack but admired her sticking to her guns. Not sure about the others yet. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!!!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
