Historia
For years, Elise has been donning corsets, sneaking into castles, and lying through her teeth to enforce the Place in Time Travel Agency's 10 essential rules of time travel. Someone has to ensure that travel to the past isn't abused, and most days she welcomes the challenge of tracking down and retrieving clients who have run into trouble on their historical vacations. But when a dangerous secret organization kidnaps her and coerces her into jumping to the future on a high-stakes assignment, she's got more to worry about than just the time-space continuum.

Excellent
Revisado: 06-12-21
This is 1 of those stories That you wish would go on and on and on. Very believable characters, And the story moves very quickly. I was very disappointed when it was over since I enjoyed it so very much. I have the audible version And the performance was excellent. You could hear all the words very clearly each character sounded just lightly different I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this book. I highly recommend it.

Sweet story
Revisado: 05-31-21
This was such a sweet story. But it was also a very predictable story 1 that's been done over and over and over. But it was done fairly well, and had a very predictable ending. The narration was excellent, I could listen to that voice forever. I will look for this narrator on future books but I can't exactly say that I'll look for this author. If you're looking for just a plain sweet story very predictable, maybe something to lull you to sleep in the evening this is the book for you, unfortunately it wasn't for me.

Historia
Thirty-two-year-old Jess Abbot has lost everything: her job, her apartment, and - most heart-wrenching - her eight-year-old son, Chance, to a tragic accident. Haunted by memories and grief, Jess packs what’s left and heads for the small mountain town of Pine Lake, where she takes a position as caregiver to an eccentric old woman. A rumored clairvoyant, Lucy is strange but welcoming and immediately intuits Jess as a “loose end” in need of closure. But Jess isn’t the only guest in Lucy’s large Victorian home.

Very Good story. Unusual characters. A very light read, not very fast moving. I would recommend this to anyone not looking for a heart pounding read.

Historia
Years ago, Beth Lathrop and her sister Kate suffered what they thought would be the worst tragedy of their lives the night both the famous painting Moonlight and their mother were taken. The detective assigned to the case, Conor Reid, swore to protect the sisters from then on. Beth moved on, throwing herself fully into the art world, running the family gallery, and raising a beautiful daughter with her husband Pete. Kate, instead, retreated into herself and took to the skies as a pilot, always on the run.

This book started off slow and built up slowly to become a very interesting story. The end was a bit odd, but they didn't leave you hanging. Overall I would recommend this book.

But when it comes to murder, Officer Susan Marlan never trusts a simple explanation, so she’s just getting started. Meanwhile, college professor Eric Evans hallucinates a young boy in overalls: a symptom of his schizophrenia - or so he thinks. But when more bodies turn up, Eric has more visions, and they mirror details of the murder case.

Historia
Kate and Scott’s marriage has always been a lot of fun, with alcohol at the heart of it. After all, what’s more entertaining than a good laugh and a large drink…or six? But recently, those relaxing drinks have become more crutch than comfort - and the couple have almost forgotten how to talk to each other sober. Then their teenage daughter Holly uploads a video of their humiliating drunken escapades, which gets picked up by YouTube superstar PinkyPud - and goes horrifyingly viral.

Just ok
Revisado: 01-27-20
This book started off pretty slow, so much so I put it down and debated finishing it. That was well past half way. But I did finish it. The first two thirds of the book appeared to be a series of drunken instances, not tied to any real story. Once a story formed, the book finished up very enjoyable. I selected this book because I enjoyed "Fat Chance" by this same author.

Excellent Read
Revisado: 01-10-20
Well written this book kept me fully engrossed from start to finish. Each time I had to put the book down I couldn't wait to get back to it. This book takes you back to 1952 and all the drama to be found in the famous Barbizon Hotel for women. Then we intermittently flash forward to modern times and learn what happened to those same tenants from so long ago. I found myself getting lost in old New York and felt as if I really knew these characters. Tavia Gilbert does a wonderful job Narrating the book, you feel as if you are listening to a radio play with multiple characters. I can't say enough about how I enjoyed this book.

This is an excellent quick read. Typical of Dean Koontz the story is gripping and keeps the reader engaged from start to finish. This is a fresh change of pace but I still prefer his full length novels.

Historia
Meet Zoe and Greg Milton, a married couple who have let themselves go a bit. Zoe was a stunner in her college days, but the intervening decades have added five stone, and removed most of her self-esteem. Greg's rugby-playing days are well and truly behind him, thanks to countless pints of beer and chicken curry. When Elise, a radio DJ and Zoe's best friend, tells them about a new competition, it seems like the perfect opportunity to turn their lives around.
