Historia
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

I couldn't finish this book. I did enjoy parts of it showing Edward's point of view, but his whiny inner monologue went on and on and on and finally did me in! Just horrible. I tried to like it, but it is just not for me.

Great beginning to a new series
Revisado: 07-14-20
I am a big Immortal Guardians fan so this spin off was a pleasant surprise. Lots of action and great character development. Kirsten Potter gives a stellar performance once again. My only complaint is the repetitiveness of the sex scenes and the use of the phrase, "so good" over and over. Truthfully, I fast forward through them to get back to the story.

Great Story, Horrible 2nd Narrator
Revisado: 11-18-19
Like the other books in this series, the story is great and I have come to appreciate Carine Montbertrand's narration. But Julie McKay, as the new 2nd narrator, took me out of the story every time I heard her robotic voice. I was disappointed to see that she is the second narrator in future books as well. I may continue the series on Kindle.

Fun series
Revisado: 11-18-19
Good start to the series. I read some reviews unhappy with the unresolved points at the end. I knew this was a series going in so I expected there to be some carry over to the next book. Over all the world building is good, with solid, well developed characters. I had a bit of trouble with Carine Montbertrand's narration at first, but soon got used to her voice. Looking forward to continuing the story with the next book

Historia
Want, need, pain, and joy were emotions Shade had never known existed before Lily. He knew the first time he saw her face that she was going to change his life forever. The thing he hadn't expected was how hard it would be to hide who and what he was from her. Each step he took out of the shadows revealed more of himself until only one secret remained. Shade arrogantly believed he could help heal the wounds from her past, but now it was his own past that was trying to tear them apart.

My favorite in the series
Revisado: 06-23-18
This is by far my favorite in the series. I enjoyed revisiting past books from Shade’s POV and the continuation of his and Lily’s journey did not disappoint.
However, I only listened to one chapter before switching to the Kindle book. I could not take Carly Robbins’ horrible narration. I mentioned in a previous review that she makes all the men sound like the same 80 year old man with nasal trouble. I’m happy she does not narrate future books in this series.

Historia
Cash was living the life of the lieutenant of The Last Riders, and he had women at his beck and call. The only thing he saw himself settling down with in the future was a 12 pack... and certainly not Rachel Porter. Hell, she wasn't even his type - her tits were too small, and her mean mouth could shrivel a man's dick. How was he supposed to know she was special and worth putting up with those weed-producing hillbillies? Or was she?

Great story, HORRIBLE narration
Revisado: 06-13-18
I have enjoyed listening to all of the Last Riders books by Jamie Begley. This one was ruined by the terrible narration. Carly Robbins apparently thinks all these alpha male bikers should sound like the same 85-year-old man with nasal congestion! You could not distinguish which male character was talking because they all sounded the same. She was ok with most of the female characters - except for Beth - what was with the nasal, raspy voice. Beth sounded just like all the male characters. It was very distracting and took away from the overall enjoyment of the book.
I dislike Carly Robbins' narration so much that I have purchased the Kindle edition of the next book in this series because she is the narrator. Luckily, it looks like Elizabeth Hart takes over narration again for future books.

Disappointingly predictable
Revisado: 03-17-18
I love Karen White’s Tradd Street series, but this story dragged on and on. There was no twist, no excitement. Just predictable outcomes for every storyline.
I enjoyed Meredith Orlow’s performance. The southern drawl was a bit overplayed at times, but it never took away from the overall story.
