Without a doubt, the best narration I have ever heard. I could barely believe it was one person! Beautifully written story. SLIGHT SPOILER:

I wanted a happy ended, yearned for it. But the book is open ended and leaves you unsettled. I suppose it's more realistic, but I feel oddly unsatisfied after it all. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the last few pages.

One of my favorite reads this year

I found myself drifting away for much of this book and needed to go back and relisten to segments that I hadn't followed. There are different narrators for the many characters, but it still got a little confusing as there are a lot of them. The ending was pretty good and there were some unexpected twists, but it was hard to get there.

This is one of those stories where I hated the main characters for their stupid decisions, decided I was going to stop listening because of them multiple times, but pushed through their idiocy and loved it. Nice twists and turns. A great listen.

I listened to this entire book in 1,5x speed, because I felt like I needed to know how it ended but I couldn't handle how long-winded it was. After the first book in the series, I was hoping for something as gripping, but was disappointed.
