I love the comparison of cultures, cutting through the propaganda on both sides. Knowing it was a true story made it all the more interesting.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I don't know who would like this. I kept listening, hoping it would improve. The extreme gratuitous violence just got worse toward the end of the book. I waited for some redeeming change of heart. Very bad message.

Has Suffer turned you off from other books in this genre?

I'm not opposed to violence in a story. I like thrillers and suspense. But this was too much.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Emily Sutton-Smith?

The narrator wasn't the problem. Very bad story.

Surprise religious message!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I would have liked a better recap of the story - a warning that there is a religious agenda that may not be wanted when looking for a good espionage. It became most apparent two-thirds of the way through.

Would you ever listen to anything by Joel C. Rosenberg again?

I'd like a more factually-based historical novel.

Poor Narration

What disappointed you about Die for Me?

The reading was so childish and annoying, it is hard to rate the story. We don't need
every voice to be unique, reader. Remember it was written as a novel, not a play.
