A Short Worth Exploring
Revisado: 04-09-20
Space Toy blends children-like curiosity and terror very well. In what little time it has (without spoiling anything) it sucks you into a beautiful world of possiblies. Tren Sparks paces and performs the tale wonderfully. His performance really sells the balance of these two emotions the short is going for. I would love to hear him tackle more stories like this.
My only complaint was that it felt too short to really be on Audiable. Perhaps if it were apart of a collection of similar short stories, I would give it a 5 star rating.

Fantastic Sequel!
Revisado: 08-11-18
The Black Cauldron (or The Black Crockin) is a more darker sequel to the Book of Three, but it makes the story all the more interesting and makes you really feel these characters progress more.
At first, I was afraid it would head towards familar tropes in many popular fantasy books, but then throws a curveball and makes the story more human then fantasy. That is this books strongest point.. humanity.
Can't wait to read Castle of Lyrr.
