Historia
Traumatic experiences happen to nearly everyone, at some time, in some form. The aftereffects—depression, anxiety, addiction, panic attacks, insomnia, and more—can affect us for years or even a lifetime. But the brokenness following a traumatic event is never a life sentence. We are all changed by trauma, but we do not have to be defined by it.

too much new age junk
Revisado: 09-28-24
The meat of the book is good. The chapter about forgiveness is good. the explanation of certain behaviors that are due to trama is good. There was just too much new age practice in this book unfortunately. I expected better out of someone who claims to be Christian. I expected more of the healing parts to refer back to God and our relationship with Jesus and more into how to surrender it all to Him. but no. And the the appendix is like someone asked chat gpt to list a whole bunch of healing trauma modalities and practices and then threw them into the book. Not impressed. If you can ignore the new age junk then most of this book is still good.

Some good nuggets here and there
Revisado: 08-08-24
It's a good book with lots of good insight in it, but I dont feel that it actually taught how to be emotionally mature. There's practical things towards the end, but not really a deeper explanation into it. Leaves me with my initial thoughts that made me hesitant to take time to listen to it, just spend time in silence listening for God. Just spend time im His presence as much as you can. I got more out of the authors explanation of things throughout the book than I did the "practical" applications at the end.
