Historia
Bick Downs and the Society of Cryptozoological Agents are dropped into the lush bamboo forests of Vietnam. They are searching for Gigantopithecus, the largest primate that has ever existed. But what they find deep and entangled amongst the trees is not the reclusive giant that roamed the bamboo forests of Southeast Asia several million years ago. Instead, they find something else entirely. The animal has evolved.

a story about the "F" word
Revisado: 07-13-20
if you took out all "F" words and the other curse words, the actual book could be half or less the length it is. Not sure why there is so much cursing except for meeting a word count for the editor. Not sure the editor is not the real source of the fiiller cursing. if you love useless filler that takes away from the story, then you have found it

On the planet Tython, the ancient Je’daii order was founded. And at the feet of its wise Masters, Lanoree Brock learned the mysteries and methods of the Force - and found her calling as one of its most powerful disciples. But as strongly as the Force flowed within Lanoree and her parents, it remained absent in her brother, who grew to despise and shun the Je’daii, and whose training in its ancient ways ended in tragedy. Now, from her solitary life as a Ranger keeping order across the galaxy, Lanoree has been summoned by the Je’daii Council on a matter of utmost urgency.

This book is truly void
Revisado: 05-12-13
What disappointed you about Into the Void: Star Wars?
I was truly excited when I found out a new Star Wars book was released, but after listening to it for a while I found that the writer took too many liberties to make a true star war book.
Language is important when read or listened to. A Books it suppose to be something that allows the reader to use their own imagination to develop the world that is being presented. It looks like Tim took a bunch of star wars ideas and put them together not understanding star wars future history, poorly done.
Language is important but Tim thinks that we should throw in 3rd grade gutter language to spice things up forgetting that most parents won't let their kids read things like this. Another thing Tim does not understand is that a poor writer uses gutter language to fill in spots that they can not write in a better way to let the imagination of the listener or reader do for themselves. You can always tell poor writers by amount of cursing and sex in their books. They used canned saying so they increase their word count to meet publishers requirements.
Excellent writers don't use canned gutter to fill in their books, they create an image that lets the person that likes gutter thoughts continue to their own world while letting the person that does not like gutter thoughts create their own world.
Would you ever listen to anything by Tim Lebbon again?
No, the man fills his books with canned gutter and I don't talk it or want to read it
Would you be willing to try another one of January LaVoy’s performances?
No, she is not animated enough
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
none
Any additional comments?
If you want to listen to traditional star wars history and flow, wait for someone else to finish their book, don't buy this one

Can not be Christian who wrote this
Revisado: 12-03-11
Would you try another book from Andrew Klavan and/or Andrew Klavan?
I have read other books by Andrew Klavan and they were written with non offensive gutter language, like this one. Would I read another of his books, no, I am not going to download one of his books only to find out I have to delete it because of the language
What do you think your next listen will be?
A book with a known author that has shown they can write about a subject without having to use language that is not acceptable for children and adults that do not which to hear.
Which scene was your favorite?
Did not get but the first couple of pages before the language caused me to delete it
What character would you cut from Dynamite Road?
na
Any additional comments?
Should have a language rating for your ebooks so people that do care about not hearing gutter talk can keep from wasting their money. I know this will not be posted as this will go against your money over people's needs but I wanted to give my 2 cents.

Historia
Carved into a moving island of ice twice the size of the United States, Ice Station Grendel has been abandoned for more than 70 years. The twisted brainchild of the finest minds of the former Soviet Union, it was designed to be inaccessible and virtually invisible. But an American undersea research vessel has inadvertently pulled too close - and something has been sighted moving inside the allegedly deserted facility, something whose survival defies every natural law.

Not a Christian Writer
Revisado: 07-24-11
I bought this book because the writer was suppose to be a Christian writer, WOW, was I ever wrong. James Rollins has the story teller ability but thinks that one must add vulgar, filthy language for the characters to express themselves correctly. Also using the Lord's name in vain was the topping that caused me to delete this from my computer and my audio device.
There are better and worse authors that I read that do not use any vulgar language by the characters to express themselves and I understand the character exactly like I was standing there was watching them in person. And no true Christian is going to use the Lord's name in vain, whether speaking in a conversion or write it in a book.
I suspect Rollins is trying to be like other authors that are so called big time authors that use vulgar language to make sure their books are read by non Christians, because they are only interested in Money, but understand this Mr Author, God does not accept the ways of this world and using the Name of the Lord is a sin unto God.
I will never buy another book by this non Christian, Rollins.
P.S. There is not a negative rating otherwise I would put a -10 down to rate this book
