Historia
I’m a golden boy. A genius law student, the heir to the Carson empire, and the dutiful son. Or, at least, that's what it looks like from the outside. Deep inside, I have the urge to set the world on fire. I keep these impulses in check, rarely indulging in mayhem. Until one night of debauchery backfires, and I'm caught by a villain. I bury the entire ordeal with the rest of my skeletons. That is, until that night walks into my classroom in the form of my new professor. Kayden Lockwood.

All the toxic psychos!
Revisado: 03-31-25
A perfectly narrated book with gloriously toxic characters completing one another. Gareth and Kayden have this fabulous push and pull that goes on throughout the book and I was there for every psycho minute of it.
If you like books with broken psychos finding their perfect match and the chaos that goes along with it you’ll love this book. Basically, if you liked God of Fury you have to listen to Gaz’s story.

This is bad. Very bad. He's rubbing off on me. Resident bad boy Ethan Colton is turning me into an irresponsible bad girl. Rule number two: When I tell you to come here, you come here. It's still an order, still practically growling at me, commanding me to obey him, but it's more, too. It's fun and flirty, a little playful. I can see why girls fall for him, can see why his devious smirk melts their resistance, because it's doing the same to me.

Ashley and Ethan part 2
Revisado: 10-11-24
While you can start with this part, I would recommend part 1 first just so you have some context for where the story is at.
Hot and steamy, a bargain has been struck and now Ashley and Ethan can play. CJ Bloom does a great job with Ashley’s perspective. I could easily put myself into her younger than me mindset. I was thereby able to put myself into Ashley’s shoes. James Cavenaugh does a great job with embodying the quintessential college horny guy that thinks of nothing but getting it on as many times as possible.
If you like your smut short and steamy, give this a listen. I received a free copy of this book via Cherrylily ARCs and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Historia
From her first step onto Canderfey University's campus, Joanna Wick, the new librarian-in-training, is overwhelmed by the bustle of people and the wealth of magical information now available to her. Most overwhelming of all, she attracts the attention of three handsome professors. But Aiden King, Callum Pike, and Isaac Metclaffe are a coven waiting to find their fourth and complete their home, and Joanna knows she can't be that witch. She's barely magical.

Well worth the listen
Revisado: 04-02-24
This is a rather fascinating story. Joanna is a librarian-in-training when she meets Aiden, Callum, and then Isaac. She believes that she doesn’t have much in the way of magic, so when the three guys determine she’s the fourth member to compete their coven, she doesn’t react well. The adventure begins there and my word! What a roller coaster!
This is a lite read in the respect that it’s lite on world building, lite on the magic system and how it works, and lite on character insight. With this being the first book, I had hoped for more of the first two.
Joanna has unique magic; both for her world and in general. I would love to understand more about what everyone else is capable of since the spotlight is mainly on Joanna and a bit on Callum.
So far as the relationships in the book. Aiden, Isaac, and Callum have been together as magical partners and as lovers for at least twelve years. If you don’t like m/m action in your rh romances, this isn’t the book for you. I would have liked to understand the dynamics between all three better as they were already established. We get glimpses, but the lack of detail makes it murky how Joanna will fit into the dynamic.
I have many questions I wished had been answered in this first book because I think it would make everything that happened make more sense and be a better foundation for the series as a whole. How does an incomplete coven compare to completed ones? Covens larger than four are mentioned, but how do those differ from the more standard covens? How do these magic users access their magic? Other than basic charms and the like, what else is common amongst magic users? Does everyone have different specialties or are there classes of magic users?
Hopefully at least some of these questions will be answered in the future. I still highly recommend this book.
The narration is good. Both narrators are new to me, but they brought a depth to the story I don’t think the book would otherwise have.

Revisado: 03-23-24
It isn’t often that I listen to an audiobook and feel like the story is what shone the most. Narration usually takes books to the next level and I just didn’t feel it with this one. They all have good voices, just not the voices I felt were right for the characters in this book.

Hoe Lee Chit Batman!
Revisado: 03-06-24
Our girl gets a raw f ing deal in life. There are elements of Cinderella sprinkled in with addition of the evil stepmother and the stepsister from hell.
All she wants is to stay under the radar and hopefully find someone to love her. She gets sucked into a fake boyfriend scheme that she wants no part of, and does her level best to try to protect herself from the potential fallout that she can see coming from these playboy men.
The heartbreak comes from a completely different direction though and that makes it so much worse because for some reason the guys just take the word of this person and condemn her. If they don’t have to spend the entire second book groveling on their knees for her forgiveness for their idiocy, they don’t deserve her. Cause that cliff leaves little to the imagination when it comes to her burning the world to the ground because they’re so gullible. Can’t wait to read the next book and see how it all ends.
The narration of this book was on point by each narrator. Some were new to me, but all did an incredible job of taking this story to the next level. When a story is already incredible, that’s quite the feat. Highly recommend.

Historia
In a field of PhDs, Tim Samaras didn’t attend a day of college in his life. He chased storms with brilliant tools of his own invention and pushed closer to the tornado than anyone else ever dared. When he achieved what meteorologists had deemed impossible, it was as if he had snatched the fire of the gods. Yet even as he transformed the field, Samaras kept on pushing.

An incredible man with a unique vision
Revisado: 12-18-23
I didn’t even know Tim Samaras existed until 10.5 years after his death, but this book is a shining homage to his life and his obsession.
A brilliant man who had an inborn knack for taking things apart and finding out what made them tick, it’s not surprising that one passion was applied to another. This application brought innovation that no one else had envisioned. It was like the tornadoes were waiting for Tim Samaras to grow up and mature so that he could start the process of unlocking the mysteries they had kept hidden for so long.
In spite of his love/obsession with storms and tornadoes, he was still a loving husband and father. With a job that had him traveling regularly and a passion that did the same, his wife was also an amazing woman in that she never discouraged him from his goals.
The loss of Tim, Carl, and Paul is beyond tragic. Though their mark in the history of storm chasers will likely live on for generations to come. This book is well worth the listen if you have ever looked at the sky and been fascinated by the majesty of Mother Nature at her most beautiful and most destructive.

Working at a kink club might not have been my best move, but the tips make up for the torture of being faced with my fantasies every night.

Love The Lodge series
Revisado: 11-28-23
I was so happy to discover this series available as audiobooks. William and Corey have a special place in my heart.
I can’t imagine what it would be like to try and navigate little needs and grownup needs with small children around. Especially when you didn’t initially understand what you needed. Corey is an absolute rock star as a Dad. His love for Willow shines through in everything he does.
While William is a complete a$$hat at the beginning, he quickly becomes the perfect Daddy for Corey. Everything about their story was an opportunity to showcase how with the right partner you can find a balance that works.
The narrator is new to me, but overall I felt they did a good job bringing the various characters to life. Well worth the listen.

Being ghosted by the love of your life sucks. Zero out of 10, do not recommend. One day, we’re exchanging rings and picking honeymoon destinations, and the next, Emery is just...gone. A year later, as I'm forcing myself to move on, I bump into him. While my brothers would love to find creative ways to get the truth out of Emery, I just want answers. When it becomes clear Emery isn't lying about losing his memory in a car accident, I have a choice to make. Do I let him go or try to win him back?

So cute!
Revisado: 11-21-23
With the amnesia trope you never know if it will be written well until you listen to the story. Emery and Lex are too cute for words!
Even though Emery doesn’t remember Lex, he feels comfortable with him from the beginning. In fact, he can’t stop thinking about the farmers market hottie. Lex remembers Emery, but there are still pieces missing from the puzzle. I didn’t envy either of their characters when the big reveal about their previous relationship happens. I could understand both sides of the road so to speak, and how do you tell someone who doesn’t remember you that they’re the love of your life? I also can’t say I would be happy if I were in Emery’s shoes.
Regardless, as they get to know one another all over again, Lex learns things he didn’t know previously and gets to fall in love with the Emery of now. Emery gets the pleasure of falling in love for the first time with someone… twice. That’s not an experience many people have.
If you like second chance stories with family that’s all up in your business, then you’ll enjoy this one. Mind that cliff though. Is it March yet? I need the next book!
Alexander Cendese did an impeccable job narrating and bringing Emery, Lex, and the rest of the cast to life. His voice never fails to bring a smile to my face as I listen to him experiencing the story from each perspective. He does an excellent job of giving each character a voice, and let’s be honest, having at least one character that sounds like some kind of surfer is the highlight of his narration for me.

This is a fun series if you like dragons, alphaholes, and stacked odds.
Ren was saved by her mother as a child and had no idea she was a dragon shifter until she turned 21. She embarks on one hell of an adventure as she attempts to unite all shifter kind again their enemies.
The narration is well done. I’m not surprised with Joe Arden as one of them. Felicity Munroe is new to me, but she does a good job as well.

An excellent story
Revisado: 10-18-23
Jason and Derek make juggling sports, a bi-awakening, and life, look easy. A low angst read that is heartwarming and satisfying.
Jason is a college QB and he takes walk-on Derek under his wing in order to help him move beyond past trauma that interferes with his ability to play football. As they work together, Jason begins to see Derek in a different light. While he’s a little confused about what’s happening, there is no freak-out to add angst or drama.
The narration brought the story to life and added a bit of depth to the characters that I felt left something to be desired in book form.
Overall it’s just a good story that leaves you happy for them in the end.
