The destiny Catalia "Cat" Fisa has spent her entire life running from has finally caught up to her. But in order to truly accept her fate and become Queen of Thalyria, Cat and her dedicated husband Griffin Sinta will have to go to war with the severely oppressed Fisa - and it's violent alpha, Cat's homicidal mother. But when Cat's magic refuses to work like it should, she has to unleash the power she's been afraid of. And when her misuse of the god's gifts lands her in Tartarus, a land reserved for eternal punishment, Cat will have to accept herself - past, present, and future - if she wants any chance of making it out alive.

The perfect ending to the series
Revisado: 11-27-24
One of my favorite series. Strong, brave, loyal and selfless MFC and MMC with fleshed out secondary characters. Action & romance set within Greek mythology. Perfect end that sets up 3 new books for Carver, Kato & Flynn. Loved the narrator.

Historia
As niece of the king, Elise Lysander cares about two things: sneaking into gambling dens, and avoiding an advantageous marriage at all costs. When her uncle holds the life of her deathly ill father over her head, reluctantly, Elise puts her fate into the hands of Legion Grey, the handsome and mysterious dowry negotiator. He may be arrogant and infuriating, but soon Legion incites a blistering, forbidden passion she can’t ignore.

Epic fantasy adventure & a love story for the ages
Revisado: 05-08-24
Wonderful Norse inspired story with a variety of multidimensional characters. Wonderful FMC (kind, courageous, heroic and selfless) and MMC (mysteriously cursed bad boy). Narrator was perfect!

Historia
The Wraith Kings saga continues. The demonic horde that threatened to devour the world has been defeated, but at great cost. Plagued by guilt and nightmares, Serovek Pangion sets out to deliver the soulless body of the monk Megiddo to the heretical Jeden Order for safekeeping. Accompanying him is sha-Anhuset, the Kai woman he admires and desires most - a woman barely tolerant of him. But guilt and unwelcome attraction are the least of their problems. The demons thought vanquished are stirring again.

Cockney accents ruined it for me
Revisado: 02-28-23
I always enjoy Grace Draven's stories but the narration here was beyond irritating. The narrator gave the Kai heroine and humans here all the same really irritating regional English working class accent. I couldn't identify it...cockney maybe? I could see that for the servants or soldiers but when the heroine and hero (the daughter of a princess and the powerful noble Lord) had it, too, it really threw me. It was a lisp and a mumble sort of accent that sounded like a 19th century pig farmer. Don't get me wrong, I love a good Scots, Welsh, Irish etc. accent and lots of beautiful English regional ones...just whatever she was doing here was NOT one of those. Confusing since both highborn and peasants, Kai and human all had it except for Ildiko and Brishen (which again makes it even more nonsensical for Anhuset and Serovek to speak that way).

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Touching, pragmatic, poetic and philosophical
Revisado: 01-13-23
Wonderful biography. A life story and a philosophical journey. Don't believe the gossip and media. A story about castles, African campfires, diamond curses, ocean breezes, the horror and camaraderie of war and love. Beautiful narration.
