Loved this book addressing a fresh look into religion and myths. Was very refreshing new take and the story was well put together with excellent narration. Can’t wait until next book comes out

This book was a better story as compared to the last book it so. Thoroughly enjoyable story line. Bray was excellent as usual. Alan son should be praised for not taking the easy way out by publishing shorter books. Overall excellent and fun book

Good but could has even been better

Enjoyed the book but the story could have been developed a little more. Some of it was a little more simplistic than I would have desired. The narration has improved some.

More Refreshing

No immediate warp drives, star gates etc right at the beginning. It was nice twist on a mystery and the subtle guidance. I would have preferred a little more of untwisting oh the mystery but this is a great book. Well worth the read. I am looking forward to the sequels

Refreshing

This was a new Twist on the beginning. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was refreshing. The narrator was excellent. Could develop more “voices” but I had. No problem distinguishing characters. Looking forward to the next book. Highly recommend.

I certainly hope no more like this

I was greatly disappointed with this edition. I thoroughly did not like the production by all the charachters. Stick to Bray. Fortunately Joe and Skippy voices were the same but was disappointed with many of the others. Plus all of the background sound effects were generally to loud, drowning out the character voices and some of the "music" was totally mismatched. Overall, I was greatly disappointed. Stick to your winning formula! As the old saying goes "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Move over Skippy, Jyates is here

When I started reading this book I was thinking “a good book without Skippy?” Well YES. The author has the magic touch of mixing humor characters to great stories. We now have Jared (sp?)and Chaca (sp?). Their interactions are great. The storyline is great, the narrator his usual excellence excellence. This is a great parallel storyline and I look forward to more hopefully.

Great book

This book and the preceding book were excellent in my opinion. These were the first books I have read by this author. Glad I did. He devoted time and detail, not shortchanging for creating a shorter book. I thought it was just right for the depth the story was taking. It would be nice to see a 3rd book if he can develop a storyline that makes sense and not lose originality. Well worth the price.

The storyline just wasn’t there. This book reminds me of the first steps by a novice writer. There was way too much attention given to long descriptions of things. It made me feel like the author was just trying to fill up space to meet a requisite length. I thought “come on, let’s get on with the story”. I also thought that the ending was week. It sort of reminds me of the weak endings of some of Michael Crichton books or “Dorothy clicking her slippers together “ in Wizard of Oz. The alien of this book could have been used for so much more story.

I gave the book 5 stars. Possibly this is because this is the first book I have listened to of his. Regardless, I found the book engrossing. The story twisted and turned which intriguing. The narrator was very fluid with pronunciation of the various places. Overall I enjoyed it.
