is just feels short
Revisado: 05-26-22
Easy listen, but then RC Bray is doing the speaking so that's expected. I always feel it's too short of a story though, maybe it's the cliffhanger at the end. or maybe I just don't want to wait 9 months to get the installment...

Historia
Hugh McDaniel lives in Queens, New York. He's a genius, and he has been struggling to pick one area to focus his life’s work on. His brother and best friend, Travis, is a marine officer. They get along very well, despite their differences. When aliens suddenly invade and destroy their entire culture, they are forced to struggle together in the ruins. At first they just tried to survive; to collect food, medicine, weapons, and to find other survivors. But now, they've set their sights higher: on resistance and reclaiming their planet from invaders.

Disappointing

Even RC Bray can't save this one
Revisado: 11-09-21
Whats up with Jay Allen repeating the same sentence albeit with a different word or two... the entire 1st two chapters were how Hugh the genius hasn't figured out what he wants to do with life. he's a kid at 19 for Pete's sake but still. how many sentences/paragraphs can one write about the dang thought process?.. truly mind boggling. but it continues chapter after chapter the author keeps repeating the same thoughts. It's like he's either trying to brainwash the audience or he has writers tourette syndrome.
RC was narrating so I gave it a try. I had a thought, maybe audible requirs the books to have a certain amount of words. So when the author can't think of the characters next move he just repeats the thought over and over until he can move on. Yeah that's gotta be it, right?
Unfortunately I'll be requesting my credit back for this one

why is this book so short
Revisado: 01-15-20
answer: money. its obvious the author cut the book in half. awkwardly creating archangel and archangel rising. those two books together would have been a decent introduction to the new story line. as they are released as separate books they fill incomplete. I just happened to listen to archangel the day before archangel rising was released so I could listen to both back to back.

Why?
Revisado: 06-30-19
If you’re a fan of the Expeditionary Force series this audio but might be one huge let down. It’s told from skippys point of view with a multitude of narrators for the alternate characters. I found the effect to be very annoying and hard to listen to. I never made it to chapter 3.

ridiculously political
Revisado: 03-15-19
Great narration, the story coule be great. but the author keeps having these weird news capsules about the turmoil on planet earth. And why fight a battle to save earth if you really dont care about the people. and what is the author really trying to say politically? If society has progressed so for technologically why are today's stereotypical issues around religion, skin color, & nationality become so extreme in the author's mind?
