Predictable
Revisado: 12-15-22
This story, although narrated well, was extremely predictable. The climax was known half way through the book. Unfortunate.

This compilation should not brag
Revisado: 09-27-22
If a book(s) advertises as the scariest of the year then I expect to not be able to turn off my lights. Unfortunately, these stories are compelling but in no way scary. Hugely disappointed given that this is the spooky season and I was looking for a good scare. The narrator is good but largely monotone for characters. This compilation is not what it advertises.

The end is amazing!
Revisado: 01-15-20
I thorough enjoyed the first two books of this trilogy, but felt that I was trudging through the third. The end, however, was not something I expected and I was very pleased. Well done.

Historia
Welcome to Black Spring, the seemingly picturesque Hudson Valley town haunted by the Black Rock Witch, a seventeenth century woman whose eyes and mouth are sewn shut. Muzzled, she walks the streets and enters homes at will. She stands next to children's bed for nights on end. Everybody knows that her eyes may never be opened or the consequences will be too terrible to bear.

Horrible Narration
Revisado: 08-14-17
This is probably a great book and I was looking forward to listening. However, the narration is so bad that I can't focus on the story at all. I do not recommend that this version be purchased and as a best seller, more attention should've been given to the choice of narrator. Very disappointing.

Historia
As an old house is demolished in a gentrifying section of London, a workman discovers a tiny skeleton, buried for years. For journalist Kate Waters, it's a story that deserves attention. She cobbles together a piece for her newspaper, but at a loss for answers, she can only pose a question: Who is the Building Site Baby? As Kate investigates, she unearths connections to a crime that rocked the city decades earlier: A newborn baby was stolen from the maternity ward in a local hospital and was never found.

Predictable But Heartfelt
Revisado: 07-11-17
The story line was predictable from the beginning so there was no suspense to be had. It was, however, a heart warming story. I did appreciate the four different narrators, they helped to keep the story moving.
