Historia
Alexander King and his team were sent to Haiti by the president of the United States as a favor to keep the Haitian president, Samuel Desir, safe in the midst of a volatile political climate. After refusing their services without reason, not only was Desir kidnapped, but King and his team were framed for the job. On the run in a country without allies, things only become more difficult when they step right in the middle of a drug war to control Haiti as a pipeline for cocaine to America. Worse still is when the kidnapping of President Desir and Columbia’s cartels intersect.

Of any series there a stinkers and this one is it. An easy pass. Everything is lacking in this story. The other four were solid and good.

Historia
Viktor Orlov had a longstanding appointment with death. Once Russia’s richest man, he now resides in splendid exile in London, where he has waged a tireless crusade against the authoritarian kleptocrats who have seized control of the Kremlin. His mansion in Chelsea’s exclusive Cheyne Walk is one of the most heavily protected private dwellings in London. Yet somehow, on a rainy summer evening, in the midst of a global pandemic, Russia’s vengeful president finally manages to cross Orlov’s name off his kill list.

Seriously Lacking
Revisado: 03-08-21
Books 1 & 2 were good to go. However, book 3 was seriously lacking in many levels. The story and plot has developed but goes sideways a great deal. Shook my head in disbelief too many times throughout. To keep up with the story line you need to read/listen but do not expect much but disappointment.

Historia
When Mitch Rapp captures ISIS’s top technology expert, he reveals that he was on his way to meet a man who claims to have the ability to bring down America’s power grid. Rapp is determined to eliminate this shadowy figure, but the CIA’s trap fails. The Agency is still trying to determine what went wrong when ISIS operatives help this cyber terrorist do what he said he could — plunge the country into darkness. With no concept of how this unprecedented act was accomplished, the task of getting the power back on could take months. Perhaps even years.

A real Power Failure.
Revisado: 10-05-20
After waiting for this title release, I have to say it was a let down. Maybe I did not like it because I though of myself and my family as one of the millions consigned to their fate without power. Setting that aside, I found this book jumped much more than before and added more detail to things that did not matter. Still worth listening but not up to the Mitch Rapp standard.
