Historia
Lila Nash is on the verge of landing her dream job - working as a prosecutor under the Hennepin County Attorney - and has settled into a happy life with her boyfriend, Joe Talbert. But when a woman is pulled from the Mississippi River, barely alive, things in the office take a personal turn. The police believe the woman’s assailant is local photographer Gavin Spenser, but the case quickly flounders as the evidence wears thin. It seems Gavin saw this investigation coming - and no one can imagine how carefully he has prepared.

Historia
Former movie star Jenna Hughes left Hollywood for an isolated farm in Oregon to get away from fame. But someone has followed her - an obsessed fan whose letters are personal and deeply disturbing. And while Jenna's already shaken up by what she's seen on paper, she'd be terrified if she knew what Sheriff Shane Carter is investigating. It's a shocking case that started with the discovery of a dead woman in the woods. Now two more women are missing, one of whom bears a striking resemblance to Jenna...

Have never been a huge fan, but this was a great listen! Think I will have to go back and replay some older ones in case I missed something! Will definitely pay more attention to Lisa Jackson's books in the future!

Historia
A single mother turns up dead at the bottom of the river that runs through town. Earlier in the summer, a vulnerable teenage girl met the same fate. They are not the first women lost to these dark waters, but their deaths disturb the river and its history, dredging up secrets long submerged. Left behind is a lonely 15-year-old girl. Parentless and friendless, she now finds herself in the care of her mother's sister, a fearful stranger who has been dragged back to the place she deliberately ran from - a place to which she vowed she'd never return.

Pretty Good
Revisado: 07-02-17
What made the experience of listening to Into the Water the most enjoyable?
Not as good as The Girl on the Train, but different in a good way.
Would you be willing to try another book from Paula Hawkins? Why or why not?
Yes, definitely!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I can't ever listen in one sitting, but I couldn't wait for a chance to listen to more!

Not for me.
Revisado: 08-10-12
Would you try another book from Anne Perry and/or Angela Dawe?
I would choose one of Perry's Monk or Pitt stories over this. Sheen on the Silk was not something that interested me & not at all what I expected from this author!
What was most disappointing about Anne Perry’s story?
The story went on & on & on and never seemed to get to a point.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Angela Dawe?
A narrator with more depth for the characters would have helped a lot. Dawe's voice was too light and "breathy" for this book.

Great Read!
Revisado: 07-30-12
Would you listen to Defending Jacob again? Why?
I don't normally listen to a book again, but this one would be a great candidate for a second listen. This book drew me in with interesting characters and a riviting story line.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The father. I could understand how a father could be in such denial about the behavior of his son.
What about Grover Gardner’s performance did you like?
Gardner has a straight forward approach to his performance that is believable and easy to listen to.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Maybe "haunted" would be a better description. I was drawn in to this story, and it has remained in the back of my mind since listening to it. This is story that stayed with me long after I finished.

Historia
The beloved New York Times best seller from acclaimed author Eleanor Brown about three sisters who love each other, but just don't happen to like each other very much. Three sisters have returned to their childhood home, reuniting the eccentric Andreas family. Here, books are a passion (there is no problem a library card can't solve) and TV is something other people watch. Their father - a professor of Shakespeare who speaks almost exclusively in verse - named them after the Bard's heroines. It's a lot to live up to.

Surprisingly good!
Revisado: 06-07-12
Would you listen to The Weird Sisters again? Why?
I would definitely listen to this one again! It's a story that could become like a good friend.
Who was your favorite character and why?
This is hard question! At different points in the book I could identify with each character. Probably most with Rose.
What about Kirsten Potter’s performance did you like?
Kirsten performed the story as if she were telling the story through her own experiences.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would have loved to listen to this one all at once! But yet was a story that kept me coming back anxious to hear more.
Any additional comments?
Would be a good read, but was a great listen!
