Historia
When Hannah learns that her sister Michelle's boyfriend, Detective Lonnie Murphy, is the prime suspect in a murder case, she goes straight from a movie studio sound stage to the Los Angeles airport. Back in frigid Minnesota, she discovers that proving Lonnie's innocence will be harder than figuring out what went wrong with a recipe. Lonnie remembers only parts of the night he went out to a local bar and ended up driving a very impaired woman home.

Could have been better...
Revisado: 08-25-20
There were too many recipes that i wish the author had just waited to put at the end of the book but the story itself was okay. The narretor’s voice was shrill for most voices, which made it hard to listen to at times.

Thought provoking story
Revisado: 06-04-18
Although I’m a huge fan of Ace Collins’ “The Color of Justice” this book is not quite as good. Collins has produced a thought provoking story about anger and retribution,
yet as a woman i felt that there were parts of Meg’s life that didn’t match up with some of the decisions & thought-making processes that would have actually been made. But, i may be assessing this from a naive viewpoint so perhaps it must be read and considered from your own!

Historia
Mr. Prendergast, an elderly Anglo-Irishman, is living out his last years in the decaying splendour of his family mansion. As his mind wanders through the gloom he finds it peopled with memories of his neglected wife, his pale shadow of a father, his icily glamorous mother and Alexander, the son she so jealously loved, killed in the First World War. With only his ill-tempered alcoholic gardener left to attend to him, Mr. Prendergast is content to pass his days in such ghostly company.

Good character development

...but very depressing in the plot development. Just not enough warmth of humanity for me.
