Unbelievably Good!

I started this series upon my husband's suggestion. I was almost instantly hooked. After the first book however I was afraid the story would start to go down hill. Boy was I wrong! It was a little slow at first but don't let that discourage you. It became so interesting and I got so wrapped up in it that I couldn't sleep because I just couldn't put it down. You should read it. Everyone should read it. They should make a damn movie of it. Well on to book 3.

disappointing

I enjoyed the first book though I thought it was a little slow. Then I read the second book and it began to get more interesting. However by the third book I began to loose interest and hot frustrated. You see the thing I enjoy most about a story like this is the strong main character. I get into a character and empathize with their struggles. But Lia's struggle was just the same thing over and over it was yoo easy yo predict that Lia would be tested with this choice and that. In the end it began to always result with Lia picking the hardest most self sacrificing option. It grew dull whats worse is Lia more human in the beging but as the story progressed she became more like a puppet to the medium. I felt like the medium was truly the main character. How interesting is a diety character? Not very in my opinion. what makes a character enjoyable and relatable is their flaws their humanity. So my biggest complaint is that my strong independant hero became an obedient, uninteresting, follower.

A great book to listen to.

First off I adore this narrator! The story is enjoyable though not as enjoyable as The Banished of Muirwood. It's alittle more preachy and the story starts out slower. I also didn't love the main love interest. There really wasn't anything lovable about him. That aside I like the setting and the relationships she has with others in the story. I am going to get the next audio book and see if it picks up.
