I love this Narrator…. BUT

The main character in this series is so irritating! I love this narrator in every book I’ve listened to with her, but the way the main character is written is so infuriating! I find myself fast forwarding through her constant inner monologues! I like the story line, and the narrator, but again the way the main character is written makes it so hard to listen too! She calls herself a we… she whines…. And she lacks intelligence. This could have been a really good series if the main character was written as a stronger female lead.

I love the story line, Violet, Doc, Harvey, Cooper, Natalie, and Aunt Zoe… however the chapters with Rex and Ray are so unbearable that I have to fast forward through them. The author has allowed this work place sexual harassment go on for 9 books with Ray! Then the violent ex Rex constantly harasses Violet and threatens her twins for now 6 books. I really want to know how the series ends but I’m not sure how much more I can take of Ray and Rex! It is so infuriating! Making jokes about work place harassment and domestic violence is not amusing.

I love Violet and want to know how the series ends…. Unfortunately I have to fast forward through half the chapters to be able to tolerate finishing the series!
5 books in and the author still has Violet’s coworker Ray sexually harassing and violently threatening her! As if that wasn’t bad enough the author adds Violets ex to do the same! Only worse because he is physically violent, it’s absolutely disgusting that a female author would make such behavior in to jokes!
This authors poor choice to add in never ending sexual harassment is very disappointing, because this would be a great series if the author was not making work place harassment and domestic violence a joke! It’s disgusting!

I want to love this series… but the workplace harassment

I am not sure I can even finish this book! I am about halfway through the book, but for the love of my sanity not sure I can finish this series!!!!! love the story line….. but the constant sexual workplace harassment by her coworker Ray is infuriating!!!!!!! I can NOT wrap my head around the author continuing with the constant workplace harassment for 4 books!! I have to fast forward through every chapter Ray is in! This audio book was released just 7 years ago, sexual harassment to this extent in the workplace is completely unrealistic! Not to mention infuriating! I really want to know what happens in deadwood but I honestly do not think I can handle another moment of Ray!

Two books of listening to Violet’s coworker Ray sexually and viciously harass her is so overwhelming!! The fact that the author thought it was a good idea to continue this in yet another book blows my mind! I want to love this series, but I can’t get past the constant sexual harassment in dang near every chapter! It ruins the book for me!

Audible Escape had an amazing catalog of books, it was replaced with Audible Plus which is utter garbage! The books are old and have horrible narrators!
