Historia
For someone who’s been alive for two thousand years, Atticus O’Sullivan is a pretty fast runner. Good thing, because he’s being chased by not one but two goddesses of the hunt—Artemis and Diana—for messing with one of their own. Dodging their slings and arrows, Atticus, Granuaile, and his wolfhound, Oberon, are making a mad dash across modern-day Europe to seek help from a friend of the Tuatha Dé Danann. His usual magical option of shifting planes is blocked, so instead of playing hide-and-seek, the game plan is . . . run like hell.

A good crime novel!
Revisado: 08-12-17
I whipped right through this book. At first I thought it was going to be the same tired xcop who drinks and tries to save the girl...but I was wrong. This book has a great twist! The performance was well done and made me feel like I was in the xcops head. I really enjoyed this book. I was given a free copy of this book and have left this voluntary and unbiased review.

Fun read!
Revisado: 07-30-17
I found this book to be a fun read. A technology, hacking, and crime novel does best if it can keep the attention of both types of people. Those with and without the tech knowledge and I think this book did pretty well at that. I was always eager to know what was going to happen next. There was a budding romance which may continue in the series but it is not too sappy. There is some pretty graphic sexual moments which were not expected, but not bad, just seemed kinda out of place. overall I enjoyed it and look forward to the next book. I was given a free copy of this book and have left this unbiased review voluntarily.

Any additional comments?
I dont read many YA book because I often dont feel connected to the protagonist. However that was not true with this book. I felt a deep connection to this "outsider" having felt different or misunderstood in my own life. What I really enjoyed about this book was the way people opened up and communicated face to face with each other. One does not see this very often and it was quiet refreshing. The performance was great, very expressive and true to the way I felt the main character would be. The only thing I thought was funny about the performance was the chapter headings...each time the new chapter was read it seemed like a movie announcer took over..."CHAPTER 5!" but this does not takes away from the story. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

This volume is the outgrowth of a series of articles, dealing with incidents in my life, which were published consecutively in the Outlook. While they were appearing in that magazine I was constantly surprised at the number of requests which came to me from all parts of the country, asking that the articles be permanently preserved in book form. I am most grateful to the Outlook for permission to gratify these requests.

This is a tale about family & friends and how their lives blend together with tragedy, trauma, laughter and love. This is superior story telling with a marvelous cast of readers. It has rich detailed characters and flows well between different points of view. Great book!!

Historia
Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the veneered, select guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea. At first Lo's stay is nothing but pleasant: The cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, and gray skies fall.

Yes

Sure
Any additional comments?
This was a fun listen. Interesting enough to keep me, but somewhat simplistic in its depiction of characters. Therefore I was not overly attached to any one character or what happen to them. I gave it 4 stars because the performance was quite good.

Historia
Every family has its problems. But even among the most troubled, the Plumb family stands out as spectacularly dysfunctional. Years of simmering tensions finally reach a breaking point on an unseasonably cold afternoon in New York City as Melody, Beatrice, and Jack Plumb gather to confront their charismatic and reckless older brother, Leo, freshly released from rehab. Months earlier, an inebriated Leo got behind the wheel of a car with a 19-year-old waitress as his passenger.

Counting Chickens...
Revisado: 05-23-17
Any additional comments?
The Nest is a cautionary tale about love, trust, family, betrayal, tragedy and counting your chickens before they have hatched. Realistic in its portrayal of a dysfunctional family at odds with each other over a poorly set up trust and drug addicted sibling. The book moves back forth through the timeline and at first it may be difficult to pick up when things are happening in relationship to each other. However, as you move closer to the end of the many arcs they begin to come together. I enjoyed the stories and their rich emotional content very much, and I was not disappointed by the closure, but rather surprised by the strength of it.

Historia
Traumatized by the bombing of Dresden at the time he had been imprisoned, Pilgrim drifts through all events and history, sometimes deeply implicated, sometimes a witness. He is surrounded by Vonnegut's usual large cast of continuing characters (notably here the hack science fiction writer Kilgore Trout and the alien Tralfamadorians, who oversee his life and remind him constantly that there is no causation, no order, no motive to existence).

Would you listen to Slaughterhouse-Five again? Why?
Yes, because there is so much written that could be interpreted differently as one ages.
Any additional comments?
It is hard to say anything about this book because it is written in such a style of it's own. If anything, it is look into what devastation war causes to everyone it touches and how to live after that devastation.
