It's a lot to take in. having the stories of Andrew and Jeffrey offered a lot of perspective of how misfits can get wrapped up in terrible circumstances in a quest for belonging.
On hand you abhor the ideology that unified them. Still it is difficult to not feel sorry for atleast the 2. You wonder what sort of community and culture we need to prevent this in the future.

They shot the dog

There are a few good lessons taught, but the time of the book was not necissarily worth the lessons.
also, they shot the dog... (figuratively).
it's possible that I missed much cultural relevance. however, the wrapping up of the book was not my cup of tea.
finally, the lack of separate n into chapters caused my UI to bug out, so it's hard to go back and hear certain places again unless you are diligent about bookmarking. I would put that more on audible than the author though.
