Historia
In the 23rd century, pioneers have escaped the crowded earth for life in self-sustaining orbital colonies. One of the colonies, Rotor, has broken away from the solar system to create its own renegade utopia around an unknown red star two light-years from Earth: a star named Nemesis. Now a 15-year-old Rotorian girl has learned of the dire threat that nemesis poses to Earth’s people - but she is prevented from warning them. Soon, she will realize that Nemesis endangers Rotor as well.

Boring as heck
Revisado: 04-01-25
I read this 30 years ago and I recall liking it even though I remember nothing of the story. thought I'd enjoy it again but after listening for several hours I don't think I'll finish. it's literally putting me to sleep. If you're looking for a cure for insomnia - you've found the right book.

Historia
For GBI investigator Will Trent and medical examiner Sara Linton, McAlpine Lodge seems like the ideal getaway to celebrate their honeymoon. Set on a gorgeous, off-the-grid mountaintop property, it’s the perfect place to unplug and reconnect. Until a bone-chilling scream cuts through the night. Mercy McAlpine, the manager of the Lodge, is dead. With a vicious storm raging and the one access road to the property washed out, the murderer must be someone on the mountain. But as Will and Sara investigate the McAlpine family and the other guests, they realize that everyone here is lying.

This is a very dark tale
Revisado: 02-04-25
As always Karin keeps you on the edge of your seat, keeping the pacing high and intense. This story is a dark one though and not for the weak of stomach.

Historia
Four months have passed since the shadow stone fell into Kell's possession. Four months since his path crossed with Delilah Bard. Four months since Rhy was wounded and the Dane twins fell, and the stone was cast with Holland's dying body through the rift, and into Black London. In many ways, things have almost returned to normal, though Rhy is more sober, and Kell is now plagued by his guilt.

Not as fun as book 1
Revisado: 09-10-24
I couldn't put down book 1, but this one for some reason dragged for a good half of it. It's still a great story but it's pacing is a lot slower. Looking forward to the next book!

Beautiful Epic
Revisado: 05-06-24
I've always loved Follet's Kingsbridge novels. His characters come alive with rich lives full of personal motivations, struggles and joys. While none of the sequels quite match up to the original Pillars, they are all excellent and enjoyable stories.

Historia
1992. All across the United States respectable, upstanding citizens are showing up dead. These deaths could be accidents, and they don’t appear to be connected—until a fatal fall from a high-floor window attracts some unexpected attention. That attention comes from the secretary of defense. All of a sudden he wants an interagency task force to investigate. And he wants Jack Reacher as the army’s representative. If Reacher gets a result, great. If not, he’s a convenient fall guy.

Is there such a thing as a bad Reacher novel?
Revisado: 11-27-23
Another fun ride with Jack Reacher set back in his military days. The story just flies by and had me guessing right up to the end.

I did not expect to be so enthralled
Revisado: 09-27-22
As always Jodi Picoult puts together another compelling story. This time however the only antagonist is Covid. At first I felt lost. Whats the point in a story that has no real bad guy? No over arching challenge? It seems a very existential story. But as you listen and let her take you for the ride, the twists and turns take you on a heart wrenching story that resonates in all of us who experienced the drama of 2020

Great Story spoiled by terrible narrator
Revisado: 02-23-21
The story continues the lightbringer series and I love how well Brent Weeks has crafted wonderful characters and believable fantasy. The only problem with this particular audiobook is the narrator. His accent and voice really make it a challenge to hear. I hope one day they have the book redone with someone who has a clearer unaccented voice.

Story is awesome but narrator is not
Revisado: 01-29-21
i love this series. it's one of the most beautiful fantasy stories in our generation but the narrator sounds (to me) like he's got a throat cold. The words are difficult to distinguish apart at times.
