Did not enjoy as much as previous books in this series.
Revisado: 10-26-24
I was somewhat disappointed in this story. It differed greatly from the other books in this series. I enjoyed the historical aspects greatly… which is what drew me to this author and others like him. As others have mentioned, the introspection and “preaching” replaced much desired intrigue and action. I hope the next book is better. Great author tho’… I don’t want to distract from mister McAvoy’s talent and skill at writing.

The narrator was a bit irritating.

Ms. Duerden has a beautiful voice but her lyrical way of ending sentences drive me nuts.
