Great story, not sure about the ending
Revisado: 04-21-25
I wanted this to end differently although I cant say why or how exactly. I loved it all the way through to the last 30 minutes or so where it just went in the wrong direction for me. Still a great story though and I expect it may be something in me that was triggered by the last scenes. Unfortunately it really spoiled it for me. But again, I expect it could be just me.

This starts off very quickly and has some fun twists and turns. The ending wasn't my favorite, but it didn't ruin the experience. Id definitely recommend this for a quick fun listen

Few plot holes but comes full circle
Revisado: 04-02-25
Meh. This is a mediocre work of fiction. It does twist and turn and go interesting places, but many of the plot points are highly improbable and there are a few things that don't add up. It was ok.

Insane twisty plot that starts off with a bang and pulled me right in. Solid mystery, good ending. Not perfect, but definitely worth the time and Audible credit. Recommend

Shelby works as a dog walker in northern California, and she’s just finished up her bi-weekly trip to the park with a husky named Pluto. When she brings him back to his house, she finds his owner - Todd Burke, a well-known local businessman and founder of an organic supplements company - lying on the bathroom floor, dead. Sweet and sentimental
Revisado: 12-20-24
Slightly different than most of Elin's other stories in that the main character's perspective is from the other side. After an accidental and sudden death, a mother is given the opportunity to reflect on her life as she watches the future unfold for her children.

I love Colin and his logical, literal, Mr Spock like way of looking at the world
Revisado: 11-23-24
Wow did I love this funny, heartfelt, intelligent little book. Colin is autistic. He sees the world in a very unique way which can get him in a lot of trouble but which also helps him solve mysteries, overcome adversity, and in the end benefit everyone around him. This is a really heartwarming book

Started off ok, but ultimately boring and annoying
Revisado: 10-09-24
I tried to hang in there with this story, as I have enjoyed some of the author's other books and I kept hoping it would get better, but eventually I decided to stop torturing myself and mark it DNF. A rarity for me.
It did start off well, if not a bit soapy bordering on gossipy/trashy. The action moved for a bit and my interest was held fairly well, but then after the major plot turn happened, it just dragged on and on with a fairly clear promise of things going in a direction I found unbelievably frustrating, and a main character who just accepts things and lets predators get away with things that left me seething.
It became such an unpleasant experience to continue listening that I found myself doing anything else. Unfortunately I cant return it as I bought it during one of the "cash sales". That should teach me. You get what you pay for.
