Great book
Revisado: 10-20-24
It was everything I hoped it would be and much more :) The experience exceeded all my expectations—like finding a hidden bonus level in a video game just when you thought you’d mastered it. Each moment revealed new layers of excitement, joy, and discovery, leaving me wanting to dive back in all over again.

Communion is the iconic classic in which Whitley Strieber describes his 1985 close encounter experiences. This book, which fundamentally changed the way we understand close encounters and alien abductions, is presented here with a new introduction by the author. Do not miss this great classic and the powerful introduction that explores the situation as it stands today—even more provocative and important now, as official sources are admitting that UFOs are real unknowns and that they seem to have something to do with close encounters.

Good, not great
Revisado: 10-12-24
While the book presents intriguing ideas, the author’s turgid prose makes it a challenging read. At times, it feels like the author is trying too hard, especially with his use of complex language and unnecessary elaboration, which occasionally distracted me and made it hard to stay engaged. That said, since it’s an alien abduction book, I couldn’t resist sticking with it.
To be fair, I had just finished The Interrupted Journey, so this one had big shoes to fill.

Historia
Bryan Cranston landed his first role at seven, when his father, a struggling actor and director, cast him in a United Way commercial. Soon Bryan was haunting the local movie theater, memorizing and reenacting favorite scenes with his older brother. Acting was clearly the boy's destiny - until one day his father disappeared. Suddenly destiny took a backseat to survival. Seeking something more stable, perhaps subconsciously trying to distance himself from his absent father, Cranston decided on a career in law enforcement.
