This book ends abruptly and without resolving the

Historia
When Kate wins an item at her children’s elementary school auction - an all-inclusive trip to SeaView at Sandpiper Bay - she thinks it’s just what her family needs after a decade of career disappointments and a marriage on its last legs. She has no reason to believe that said trip is a Fyre Festival-level fraud and, in fact, the catalyst to her unraveling. But it is. Oh, but it is.

Great listen!
Revisado: 07-25-21
I read this book back in high school and again in college. Now 35+ years later I listened to it. The story is still as entertaining and relevant as ever. For me, SIssy Spacek's narration was spot on. Her pacing, accent, and enthusiasm for the novel really brought the characters to life as I listened.

Not for me

This book possibly has some interesting/informative material, but it was like listening to a bad English translation of a Chinese manual read to you by a well-caffeinated zombie.

this sounds like it was recorded with the narrator at one end of a tunnel with the recording equipment at the other end, otherwise her reading of the material was fine. the material itself was not especially engaging
