Historia
England, 1903. Giles, the Earl of Stainton, has fled from his stifling duties to resume his research in Egypt, leaving behind his wife Kitty, and his infant son. Kitty, still reeling from Giles' sudden departure, struggles to keep spirits high in the castle and establish herself as the true mistress of the house, an impossible task given how many secrets the inhabitants are hiding from her. The Earl's younger sisters, Rachel and Alice, are both pursuing forbidden romances, and his brother Richard begins a new business venture, spurred on by his clandestine lover.

I think this would be a great TV series like Bridgertons. Anxiously awaiting Book 4.

And that is exactly what happened. Except... She wasn’t the one. In fact, the ravishing Miss Hermione Watson is in love with another. But her best friend, the ever-practical Lady Lucinda Abernathy, wants to save Hermione from a disastrous alliance, so she offers to help Gregory win her over. But in the process, Lucy falls in love. Liked it!

This was a very good book. It left me wondering though, why did Gregory seem less wealthy than the other brothers? I also think that every other brother found his purpose, Anthony as the Viscount, Benedict as a painter, Colin aa an author, but nothing for Gregory. He seemed to get shafted. Good thing he married well.
