Historia
In the fading town of Rooster, Texas, all that's really left is a service station, a church…and the Banty House, a long-ago Depression-era brothel. For more than seventy-five years, Betsy, Connie, and Kate Carson have called their mama's house a home. The three eccentric sisters get by just fine with their homemade jams and jellies, a little moonshine on the side, and big hearts always open to strangers. Like Ginger Andrews.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Historia
A madman is holding Vitoria hostage, killing its citizens in brutal ways and staging the bodies. The city's only hope is a brilliant detective struggling to battle his own demons. Inspector Unai López de Ayala, known as "Kraken", is charged with investigating a series of ritualistic murders. The killings are eerily similar to ones that terrorized the citizens of Vitoria 20 years earlier. But back then, police were sure they had discovered the killer, a prestigious archaeologist who is currently in jail.

This is one case of a perfect performance. I don’t really know if I enjoy the performance over the story. However Dean Koontz never disappoints!

Magnificent book, amazing performance!’
Revisado: 01-19-22
I’ve just discovered this Author, in 2 months I have listen to all her books. This book in particular is really well performance. I’m fact it is one of the best performances in audible that I listen to so far!
Only two translate errors that might help you if you are an Anglo listener: chirimiri is a soft rain and little vixen is not a fox it is little hore..
As for the history, it is better understood if you listen to baztan trilogy first. But as a separate book it can do.
Enjoy this book, it is another master pice by Dolores Redondo!!

Historia
In Pamplona, capital of Navarra, Amaia Salazar is called in to investigate the death of a baby girl. The baby has red marks on her face, indicating she has been murdered. According to the girl's grandmother, the father tried to run away with the body, uttering something about an offering. She also mentions the Inguma - an evil being of Basque mythology that kills people in their sleep. The investigation takes Amaia and her team to the nearby valley of Baztan, where there have been an abnormally high number of similar cases - and some procedural irregularities.

Historia
killer at large in a remote Basque Country valley, a detective to rival Sarah Lund, myth versus reality, masterful storytelling - the Spanish best seller that has taken Europe by storm. The naked body of a teenage girl is found on the banks of the River Baztán. Less than 24 hours after this discovery, a link is made to the murder of another girl the month before. Is this the work of a ritualistic killer or of the Invisible Guardian, the Basajaun, a creature of Basque mythology?

Amazing!,,
Revisado: 12-29-21
This book keeps you on the edge from the beginning. My only complaint is that the traductor is not good enought. Some word are badly trastaled making a bit confusing the listening.
But the story, characters and atmosphere created makes this book a masterpiece from my new favorite author in all times!!!
