Not really for me.

As usual, the author does an excellent job with his writing, no matter if he calls himself William, Randi, or A.R. Rend.
However this particular book was not for me, and here are some of the reasons why.
Firstly, I would describe this book as reverse harem but the men in this scenario have the female reproductive organs and do the childbirthing. If that makes sense... And that isn't really my preferred genre.
Secondly I like for the main character to be "special" in some way, not necessarily OP but something that makes him stand out. The only thing Philip has is his good looks and his ability to be an excellent wife (cooking, cleaning, hosting, etc.).

I might pick up book two if or when it is available since the story is good, and well written.

And as always Andrea does a 10/10 performance.

Didn't love it, but i didn't hate it either.

The reasons I didn't love, it was:
*Not really a fan of the LITRPG, the story could easily work without it with just minor changes.

*The second woman in their growing family was a married woman and a mother of 5, and no one, not ever her seem to care about her previous family, which I find weird. (Plus, I'm not a fan of having previously married women, especially if they have children from said marriage, in an erotic fantasy-harem book)

*There is a lot of mentions of sexual abuse, people being sex slaves in previous lives, Torture, attempted rape. Etc. And I do not like to hear that when I'm trying to have a nice time listening to a fantasy book.

*Lastly, the bad guy they added in the last chapter was to "bad" for my taste, almost to the point I didn't want to continue the series.

I don't even know what to feel about this book.

First of all, i don't think i have ever heard a bad performance by Andrea Parsneau. And this book is no exception.
.
This entire series has been sort of a hit and miss for me. I liked the first book, didn't like the second, loved the third, liked the forth, and this one i don even know...

I liked most of this book, however some parts i didn't like, for example i dont like listening to sexual assaults of any kind no matter how small of a part it plays in a book... Nor do i like the way the author "meta-writes" the story, the antagonists are always a step ahead and the MC only barely manages to keep up. Also, if you have to cripple the MC before every major event so he cant use his full power, in order to make it more interesting, you just shouldn't have given him the power in the first place. What's the point of having an OP MC if he is never allowed to be OP when it counts?

Lastly the ending to this book was in my opinion, terrible. It was frustrating to listen to, it was predictable, it was forced. Some of the antagonists got what was coming to them, and i didn't even care because of how forced the writing felt.

Hated it...

MC is a weak pushover.
The first girl MC becomes interested in is a sex slave of the bad guy, or at least I assume so, didn't get far enough to confirm or deny that.
The bad guy is the most perfect male specimen to ever exist, physically But he is an annoying megalomaniac who is extremely powerful and he immediately hates MC and tries to get him killed.
There is a bunch of hints towards sexual abuse/torture/slavery, and I plain don't like that.


The only good thing about this book if you don't count the narrators who do an outstanding job, is that the book decided to be awful right from the start, so I don't have to listen to 10h only to get disappointed later...

Started good, but turned bad towards the end.

The book started off very well, good writing, interesting story, likable characters, excellent narrators. Sadly towards the end some stuff started to irritate me.

For example, when the bad guy seems to know more about the main character's secret ability than the MC does, or when the tank girl immediately turns against MC and starts to follow the bad guy.

First book i will return twice...

I tried listening to this book when it came out, got 3 hours in, and just didn't feel it, so i returned it. Got bored a while later and decided to try to finish it. and it didn't get better... The MC is basically a stupid child. There is practically no romance between the MC and the 2 female main characters only sex, oh and apparently they are both infertile so its open house do what you want with no repercussions. The lich character is one of the most annoying characters in any book i have listened to. The world has levels that dont seem to matter since a lvl 30 character beat the ever loving shit out of a lvl 48 character, so i dont know what the levels are even for. The only reason i tried to finish this book are the narrators, i love most of the books that either Daniel, or Jessica are in.

Couldn't finish this one...

This is a perfect example of how not to write an antagonist in my opinion. In a world of superpowers our MC has none, so he has to make his own. Thats fine, that could make for a cool MC. Just dont make the rival/enemy exactly the same... This series is straight up Iron Man VS Batman, if Iron Man was a murdering sociopath, and Batman was delusional, and mentally unstable. I would bet money that there are fanfics written about Iron Man VS Batman that are written better than this series... I usually love Logan Jacobs books, but this series is just not for me... The narrators are doing an excellent job, but not even Christopher and Jessica could save this book...

Generally a good book, but there was a part, no more than 5 sentences, towards the end of the book that completely ruined one of the female characters for me... couldn't really get back the hype for the book after that...

What the hell was that?

Adding a new "antagonist" having them be one of the most ancient evils in the world, powerful enough that even the gods couldn't kill them entirely, and having the MC beat them in less than an hour, from plan to finish, is just bad writing in my opinion. It added nothing to the story, you can skip this book and go straight to the next one and probably get the entire "story" from this book in the 2 minute recap i assume the next book will have...

Well, thats one way to ruin a book series...

I like the overall story of the series, but holy f**k, dont fucking do stuff like this... I didn't finish the book, so i dont know if it gets better or not, and i dont want to find out. *SPOILERS* Hyping up a woman for two books, talking about linked fate and stuff, just to have her die in the beginning of book three isn't what i want to spend my credits on... and even worse than that is that she died of a direct action of one of the other love interests, an as a result MC breaks up with her too.
