Historia
Jane Yellowrock is the queen of the vampires, and that makes her a target as she fights to maintain control and keep peace in the city of New Orleans. She has enemies at every turn, because vampires live forever, and they keep their grudges alive with them. That includes the Heir, the vampire sire of the Pellissier bloodline, which gave rise to Leo Pellissier himself—Jane’s old boss and the former master of the city.

Excellent wrap up
Revisado: 06-11-23
This was an awesome wrap up to the story arc of Jane Yellowrock. I was content at the end, like Beast says, ‘I we are happy’.

Historia
Ambushed in Afghanistan and betrayed by their own leaders, these elite Marines fought for their lives again, back home. A cross between A Few Good Men and American Sniper, this is the true story of an elite Marine special operations unit bombed by an IED and shot at during an Afghanistan ambush. The Marine Commandos were falsely accused of gunning down innocent Afghan civilians following the ambush. The unit’s leader, Major Fred Galvin, was summarily relieved of duty, and his unit was booted from the combat zone.

A real eye opener
Revisado: 11-24-22
Bought this for my husband, who enjoys military non- fiction books. I usually don’t but this was a very interesting book. I learned a lot of things about an incident I had never heard about. I would highly recommend it.

Very Shadowrun-ish
Revisado: 07-11-19
Forthose who run a Shadowrun RPG like I do, this book is a wealth of possible new scenarios. It's even set in the 6th World, like that RPG is.
The narrator is excellant, no stumbling over the Navaho names & phrases at all. I have always enjoyed Coyote as a protagonist, and this book has a very good Coyote.
The only downside for me was that the ending seemed a little rushed, like the author realized all of a sudden she needed to stop writing & crammed everything into the last 5 minutes. But otherwise excellant, and I hope for more in the series!

Historia
College. A time of transition from youth to young adulthood. New lessons, new responsibilities, new distractions. A period of life treasured by most. Unless you happen to attend an institute of higher learning where the bullies are werewolves, the teachers are sadists, and the pretty girls are all deadly. A school like that demands a special kind of student, someone with the skills and power to survive. Someone like Declan O'Carroll.

Pleasant surprise
Revisado: 07-28-17
I was a little irritated when I got the 1st book Declan was featured in. I thought it would be more of the adventures of the God Hammer. But after listening to it, and this book, I find I enjoy the adventures of young Declan a little bit more than Chris & Tania. So far, a very pleasant surprise!

Could have been a good finale
Revisado: 05-22-17
Love how the author wove everything together, linking events from this book & the 1st in the series. While I hope it isn't the series finale, it would have been a good one!

Fun!
Revisado: 02-19-16
Where does God Touched rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Toward the top, probably an 8 out of 10 (10 being the Outlander & Longmeir series')
What did you like best about this story?
The characters. Especially the 'Damned Thing'.
Which character – as performed by James Patrick Cronin – was your favorite?
Lydia.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
No, it was mostly just a very fun listen. Kind of a fire in the fireplace, popcorn when the power is out kind of story.

Good plot line; not a good match for narrator
Revisado: 02-05-14
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Yes & No. I liked the plot line, it was an interesting idea. But while I LOVE George Guidall when he reads the Longmier series of books, he doesn't do the characters justice here.
If you’ve listened to books by Faye Kellerman before, how does this one compare?
Pluses & minuses.
Would you be willing to try another one of George Guidall’s performances?
Not in this series. All the female characters sounded like Victoria Moretti from the Longmeir books to me.

First of many good listens I hope.
Revisado: 05-30-12
What did you love best about The Cold Dish?
This was the 1st in this series I tried. I really enjoyed the narrator; he sounds close to the age of Longmire, but also does a good job with the other characters. Amusingly enough, my husband despises his narration of the Vince Flynn novels because he sounds much too old for Mitch Rapp. The humor was excellent and it was fun to picture the characters, even knowing tat Vic will be different in he upcoming tv series.
Any additional comments?
Listening to the book makes me look forward to the tv series that debuts next Sunday on A&E. I'm glad I heard the book first.
