Who can you trust when no one is who they seem? Aided by his wife Ria and friend Dev, Partho’s long overdue vacation on the US east coast is finally on. But mysteries have a way of tracking him down, especially the sinister ones. It started out as a cheerful family outing to a Spanish restaurant on Thanksgiving Eve. Somewhere in between the entrée and the dessert, it has turned into a calamity, embroiling them in a sinister plot involving an escaped convict, assassinations, and corporate greed and malfeasance.

Recommended - different in many ways.

Written through the narrative of Dev, a friend and companion of the the main character, Partho, this story unfolds at a steady yet agreeable pace, introducing us to a wide range of interesting characters and bizarre events.
The sleuth detective Partho, his wife, and friend Dev arrive in the US from India after a long journey. Partho’s broad knowledge soon becomes apparent with discussions ranging from the use of unorthodox medicine to the merits of scientific discovery.
The book is generally very good. My one comment would be that I would prefer an audio narrator with a more international accent rather than a southern drawl, but otherwise it is generally well narrated and the plot of the book does entertain. It was refreshing to listen to a detective novel so removed from the so often predictable plots you get in modern novels today.

This is a must for job seekers, and frankly I'm one of them, at a time when taking on two different part-time jobs is becoming increasingly the norm.
The narration is great - friendly and understanding. By first explaining his background and experience as a specialist in recruiting, the author provides a reassuring touch on a number of important matters when it comes to looking for a new job. He helps by first identifying our needs and ambitions, and uses this to help us discover how to search for jobs that match, and how to apply for that job. Constructive and helpful, this book has made me think anew about how I apply for jobs, and is written by someone really knows the job market. Thank you.
