Very hard work.

The narrator performed well.......very well.

Interesting insider look at being a waiter in The Cricket Room as well as some of the clientele. I was impressed with Russell Crowe's behavior while finding Warren Beatty laughable.

Joe is a Hero.

If you could sum up The Life We Bury in three words, what would they be?

Exciting, lucid thriller.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Life We Bury?

Several. Allen Eskens wrote a juicy story about Joe, a college student, writing a biography on a older person as his college writing class. Joe's roller coaster experience interviewing Carl, a convicted murder rapist, who was on medical leave due to his terminal cancer. Joe's assignment gets involved as assignments can at times. Joe's mother interrupts and cajoles poor Joe.

What does Zach Villa bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrator WAS Joe as I avidly listened.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely.

Eskens has written a good story with interesting characters like Joe, Lila, and Carl Iverson to name a few. The writer also provided good teasers which increased my desire to listen to this book as quickly as possible.

Would you listen to Al Franken, Giant of the Senate again? Why?

Yes, I would and am already planning to do so. I enjoyed Senator's realistic and positive outlook. More of that is needed.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Senator Franken, of course, but his insight regarding Senators McConnell and Cruz was very enjoyable.

Which scene was your favorite?

The eye rolling scene on the Senate floor.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Several. To mention a highlight would be a challenge.

Any additional comments?

Senator Cruz does seem to be the type who is smiling cause he realizes he wet his pants, but in an odd way he is enjoying the feeling.

Would you consider the audio edition of Frank to be better than the print version?

Former Congressman Frank did an outstanding job performing his book, the printed version is always better.

What about Barney Frank’s performance did you like?

Having read many political memoirs I was struck by Barney Frank's honesty regarding his private life as well as his political life.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Too many to name !!!!

Yes, and I have plans to listen to this audiobook again and again. Interesting people written as such by the writer.

All the love.

Many, not just one: Tennessee Williams, Aaron Copeland, James Baldwin, Walt Whitman, Greta Garbo, and so many more.

What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

Anything about Tennessee Williams or Walt Whitman.

This narrator was such a good reader he kept me interested while wanting to listen longer and longer.

What did you love best about Nothing to Envy?

This insightful book provided a glimpse inside the super secret world of North Korea.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I felt so sorry for all of the characters in this book. Trapped in such isolation in the 21st century is incomprehensible while at the same time controlled by a crazed government that reeks of Josef Stalin.

Have you listened to any of Karen White’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The narrator's performance was very good.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This is NOT a travelogue.

Exquisite book which provides valuable insight to a country yet again in the headlines.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Courage to Act to be better than the print version?

As much as I enjoyed this volume the written word is always better.

What other book might you compare The Courage to Act to and why?

Any book written by John Kenneth Galbraith. Galbraith is also a master of economics.

What does Grover Gardner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Grover is one of the best narrators and I have learned to expect an excellent performance from him.

Nice idea. I didn't finish graduate school in one sitting either.

Outstanding book for the insight on the 2008 economic collapse and the characters involved.

Probably not. This account was not especially insightful.

What did you like best about this story?

Anything and everything about Duane Allman. Having always heard what a great musician he was I enjoyed learning some of his history

What with my love of music: YES.

I was astounded by the band's continuous battles.

If you could sum up Johnny Carson in three words, what would they be?

Talented, intelligent, and psycho.

What did you like best about this story?

The writer seemed to be honest with his story.

Which scene was your favorite?

Several really. Possibly a scene with Carson, some criminal types, and a few cops breaking into his wife's secret apartment. Breaking into her apartment Johnny learned a number of facts about his wife he did not like.

I would have if time permitted.

Very interesting man. I am thankful I did not know him.
